I'd worry about feeding the troll, but he's been well fed already. Anyway

GW? George Washington? Name the fuckups he made his first year, besides not building a large wall around South Carolina

If you meant GWB, well GWB and his staff (through inaction) allowed 3k civilians to be destroyed in one of the most emotionally devastating events this country had seen in the last 50 years. But yeah, Obama's a real screwup.

Dont be a sad panda. ...and besides, if I PM you, then I will give you what you want and I am not going to go there.

I am sorry you were involved personally in teh campaign - by that did you mean you went to UNC Chapel Hill and gave out hj's to get other dudes to vote for obama. The sad news is, they were going to vote for him anyway, so id say you got punked.

Guess what. Bush is no longer president. Why hasn't anything been done about our HORRIBLE economy? What is being done about the ridiculous unemployment rate? All Obama has been doing is sitting around the white house drinking beers with his racist friends.

Stimulus, Cash-for-clunkers, crazy amounts of public works money going through...

Pretty consistent with the Democratic Party's "this is what we do for the economy" style. The funny thing is that it works, unemployment is lagging behind but as more projects get approval for hiring the employment will come back around. It's not their fault you aren't paying attention.

^^ you forgot to add the second page of the memo that said the FBI was conducting 70 full investigations. What more could they do? Hire the president to serve on an investigation team.

Besides, if I followed your train of thought, how is this not Clintons fault? He appearantly authorized the missile strike against Bin Laden in 1998. That just pissed him off. So, it is Clintons fault.

im not standing up for bush at all, you guys are looking for a scape-goat and you think it is your strongest argument to point fingers at that administration.

the past is past and the future is screwed under this administration. there will be more attacks on us soil because we are turning our backs on the enemies and bending to accomodate other enemies which is creating discord with our allies.

AceintheSky= Total incompetence!!

A) I distinctly remember Bush Jr. going over to the the last Olympic games in Beijing when he had wayyy too much on his plate back here in the U.S

B) If Chicago gets the bid, it will mean an economic boom not only for Chicago but for the states surrounding Illinois as well, hotels booked, employing people to work the games, construction jobs, some older, poor developed areas get free landscaping due to having to improve appearance of run down areas, and I repeat JOBS for people in Illinois and the surrounding states and individuals in those areas could use an economic boom since the auto industry in the upper midwest is not doing so hot!

C) However, since the US has already hosted Olympic games in LA, Salt Lake City, AND Atlanta, Rio De Genero, Brazil is MUCH MUCH more deserving of receiving the Olympic Bid then the United States. Plus as a fan of the Summer Olympics, it would be great to see the summer Olympics in such an exotic location as Rio de Genero(check spelling).

Still in Iraq, still in Afganistan (and actually looking to escalate involvement) and focusing in on Iran and North Korea using methods that don't involve tailspinning the world into another massive war.

How is that turning our backs on the enemies? Is it because we aren't going all-in against Al Qaeda anymore? I assume I don't have to remind you that that was a decision of the previous administration.

As for our allies? Well they're not likely to attack us anytime soon now are they. And I strongly doubt that opening up diplomatic relations with enemy nations is going to honk them off so bad that they start launching missles.

Yep!

"We're probably getting the Olympics? Awesome."

No because the 4 finalist are Chicago, Madrid, Tokyo, and Rio de Janeiro.

London will be hosting in 2012, so they are not going to send the Olympics back to the same part of the world 4 years later. Beijing just hosted, so they are probably not going to send the games back to Asia that soon. The USA has hosted the summer games more than any other nation in the world while South America has never hosted. Brazil will also be hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup, so they will have all of their stadiums and towns revamped anyway and ready to host another major event. I'm still hoping Chicago wins this bid and then the USA wins the 2018/2022 FIFA World Cup because we are bidding for that too. In Novermber (?) of 2010 we will find out who hosts after Brazil 2014.

The only real knock against Brazil is the perceived violent crime rate. Granted that Chicago isn't exactly the safest city on the planet, but nothing like the perception that people have of what can happen in Brazil.

That probably won't deter the Olympic committee, although I can't find an example of a city with a similar reputation getting the SUMMER games.

^What is strange is that baseball has been dropped from the Olymics and it isn't being played in London in 2012, but Rugby won't join until 2016 when the games might be in Chicago.

Does anyone else get the feeling that people are just sitting at their computers all day combing white house documents hoping they can catch Obama in a spelling mistake or something? I don't understand why people are getting angry just for the sake of getting angry.

^ Yes, they are. Researchers for Glenn Beck, Rush, newsmax.com, wnd, reason...

They do it because they make money by ensuring that ditch fires become wildfires.

To be perfectly fair, THAT is something that was definitely done by left-wing bloggers throughout their rise during Bush's administration. A lot of the "well the other side did it too" arguements fall flat on their face when used, but that one doesn't.

^^ so you're saying we shouldn't scrutinize the president when all he's managed to accomplish is nationalizing the banking industry, the auto industry, attempting to nationalize healthcare, have a beer at the white house with a racist, and apologize to all of our enemies for our country being the best in the world.

What a FUCKING idiot you are

I think you don't quite grasp what nationalizing an industry really is.

Offering financial bailouts with a few loose oversight provisions is not nationalization. It's soft regulation at worst.

Obama spending one day to bring the Olympics to America (and boosting the economy) seems like a pretty good deal considering Bush spent four days at the Olympics as a fan during a war in Iraq.

Bush supporter complaining cause the current president is busy working?
would you feel better if for everyday he works he takes a week vacation to some ranch?
or have birthday parties during natural disasters?

wow, you really nailed obama, he took a day to lobby for something that would create many jobs.
keep up the good investigative journalism.

Bringing the Olympics to Chicago would also have involved raising taxes, and tearing up the city. About 45% of the people didn't want to host. Also, I don't have the link anymore, but there was a really good article about how FDR's policies prolonged the depression. Where did the Cash For Clunkers money come from? TAXES! These types of policies aren't always as great as they are made out to be.
