12/7/2009 11:26:27 AM
depends on the type of egg
12/7/2009 11:26:41 AM

12/7/2009 11:27:07 AM
Bird's Nests have been mentioned so many times. And now there's a fucking picture. I think I'll be making them for dinner, haha.[Edited on December 7, 2009 at 11:28 AM. Reason : .]
12/7/2009 11:28:24 AM
my mom never made eggs for us - when she did make breakfasts, it was a special occasion and always french toast or pancakes
12/7/2009 11:29:46 AM
I prefer dippy eggs, but always end up just making scrambled eggs with cheese in them since it's easier
12/7/2009 11:30:39 AM
i prefer ham and cheese omelettes, but always end up with ham and cheese scrambled eggs because i can't make a fucking omelette ]
12/7/2009 11:31:03 AM
we just found out the trick is to add water to the eggs.
12/7/2009 11:31:58 AM
why not?it's pretty easy
12/7/2009 11:32:09 AM
no you add milk
12/7/2009 11:32:43 AM
I am not very good at omelets either
12/7/2009 11:33:03 AM
or water
12/7/2009 11:33:08 AM
or cream
12/7/2009 11:33:36 AM
i make omelets like every day almost. they're so good.
12/7/2009 11:34:36 AM
first of all, how the fuck do you spell omelette?!second of all, the reason i can't make an omelette is because i can't figure out how to get it hard on one side and then flip it over with the ingredients inside and not make a mess or fuck it up. i always give up halfway through and just tell myself i'd rather have my eggs scrambled.]
12/7/2009 11:34:57 AM
why would you add watermilk adds fluffiness to the omelette toobtw, i'll take a zabaione plz
12/7/2009 11:35:11 AM
12/7/2009 11:36:14 AM

i think next time i'll mix all the ham and cheese into the egg mixture (with MILK and s&p) and then pour it all out in the pan. let it cook up til it's mostly solid on the bottom then try REALLY HARD to flip it over. will that work?
12/7/2009 11:38:59 AM
haha yea - you can do it that way too....
12/7/2009 11:40:27 AM

12/7/2009 11:42:00 AM
I think I might be weird and try a chili omelet for lunch.
12/7/2009 11:48:40 AM
hey next time you want to mix in the ham and cheese in the eggs, cut up the ham and throw that bitch in the pan with some butter first, and fry off like you would bacon bits. then add the eggs/milk/cheese and cook in the ham/butter fat.that's what's up.
12/7/2009 11:49:58 AM
^^is that like a cheese omelette with some chili on it? cuz i got tons of chili at my house from the crockpot yesterday.^that sounds awesome. i always buy the little ham chunks that come pre-packaged. those will fry up nicely though.[Edited on December 7, 2009 at 11:50 AM. Reason : .]

^^ Salmon isn't for everyone ... especially for breakfast. My fav breakfast restaurant serves turkey/avocado/spinach crepes topped with a dill hollandaise. Sooo yummy!

pshoes come cook for me
12/7/2009 12:49:42 PM
a few ways:fried on toast with mozarella cheese (or brie, or cheddar) and maybe a meat added like bacon or hamscrambled with cheese (Jarlsberg is a good one for this), hot peppers, banana peppers, cumin, and bay leaves (not whole ones)in an omelet with mozarella, asparagus, and cauliflowerorrrrrrr just plain scrambled with lots and lotsssss of cheese
12/7/2009 12:58:38 PM
boiled/fried3 conditions:- white has to be fully cooked (but not so cooked while if frying that it becomes tough)- yolk has to be liquid or semi-solid, and this is the most important condition- salt (esp on yolk), no pepperi also like omelettes but since the yolk gets fully cooked in them, i am not crazy about them. so, i do the following to have the best of both worlds:- saute vegetables (spinach, onion, garlic, mushrooms, zucchini, tomato, olives) in a pan and when they are almost done, i crack a couple of eggs on top of them and reduce the heat. the eggs get cooked slowly and perfectly with the yolk intact and liquid/semi-solid. then i slip the food out of the pan onto some whole wheat pita/sliced bread... heaven!
12/7/2009 4:30:38 PM
i can't believe i forgot to mention how amazing (and low fat) a soft boiled or poached egg is...i think i'm a slut for an egg. thankfully, they're relatively cheap. [Edited on December 7, 2009 at 4:33 PM. Reason : ]
