Seriously, if you live in a big old house with fancy windows and a great view, that's one thing. But anybody else should have their windows covered and an ample selection of fuzzy socks and cozy sweaters. The TV and computer should generate enough heat to keep you warm.

oh manpropane delivery is COMPLETEI have never been so excited to turn on the heat before When Z (the man who is never truly cold and whose is a portable personal furnace great husband) complained of being cold, I was afraid we'd run out of fuel. It's 53 in here right now.[Edited on January 6, 2010 at 10:36 AM. Reason : change from OP: it's set to 60-62 now, not 58-60.]

The office thermostat is set to 75, and I put on my thick insulated Colombia winter jacket because I was so cold.Honestly I think I'm only comfortable in like 80+.

I try to keep my house at 72 all year around. The only difficulty that I have is that the sun hits one side of my house late in the afternoon and it gets unbearably hot.

Fat people are insulated much better, so understandable that some people can be alright in somewhere that is set at < 65 degrees.58 though? That's cold as shit.
