Nah, people have been getting knocked up before marriage since like forever.

The big difference between now and then would be that, back in the day, people were more reliable about going through with the marriage part after they got pregnant.

IUDs have a 10-year failure rate of 2-6% depending on who you listen to. It could be possible to know 2 unlucky women

^^ i forgot that you already know everything about these women and about IUDs all i know about the women i had met that both got pregnant on the IUD was that they had problems taking other forms of birth control (in terms of the pill made them very sick and the like) and that they got pregnant relatively quickly after the IUD was inserted. also, this was when that new IUD came out onto the market.
