it's really pretty irritating how God has turned into the fitness asshole.

granted, he's always been an asshole, but for some reason, assholery on this topic is just harder to stomach.

I TOLD THIS KIWI BITCH PRECISELY WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN, BUT NOOOO....SHE SAID SHE HAD NO SYMPATHY FOR FAT PEOPLE. SHE PUT DOWN OTHER PEOPLE FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO DO WHAT SHE DID: “STOP EATING BAD FOOD” AND “SWEAT HER ASS OFF.” SHE CALLED IT A LIFE CHANGING BATTLE WHERE SHE GAINED PERSONAL WISDOM AND INNER STRENGTH. SHE CLAIMED SHE HAD MADE A PERMANENT CHANGE IN HER LIFE, THAT SHE WAS A DIFFERENT, THAT SHE HAD FINALLY GROWN UP. AND SHE BACKED UP HER LACK OF SYMPATHY FOR FAT PEOPLE BY CLAIMING SHE HAD MORE CREDIBILITY THAN THE AVERAGE DIETER SINCE SHE HAD THE MOTIVATION AND DEDICATION TO NEVER GO BACK TO THE WAY SHE WAS BEFORE.

Simply cutting out soda, juice, candy, and white/processed carbs will go a very long way in losing body fat.

Cutting out fat from the diet is actually not that great of an idea. Fat intake triggers your brain to send out 'I'm Full' signals, ergo making you feel satiated. Fat also makes things taste better.

Sugar with a low glycemic index (Specifically fructose) floods your body with calories but does not trigger your brain to send out the 'I'm Full' signal.

^^^^yay, I get sympathy from you then!

haha just kidding, I don't want sympathy from you, you're being a douche, and you're also kinda stupid for not knowing what I said earlier was a joke, I mean seriously, unless I was really fucked up in the head (I'm only a little bit fucked up in the head) I would never actually decide to cut the fat off my own stomach...that's just crazy talk!

^if I was fighting I would've just sat on the smaller chick and pounded her face in. I mean hell if I'm gonna fight I might as well let my fatness help me out for once.

i think it would be easier if you set up monthly goals. put together 12 goals and throw them in a jar. first day of the month you pick a new goal and that goal is something you need to strive for going forward. i would think it would be easier to stick with something if you break it down on a monthly basis.

Okay...I'm gonna be serious here for just a bit.

I actually have a goal to lose 8 lbs a month...you know, 2 lbs a week...that's what they say is a smart way to do it...so I figured by changing up my diet and actually getting up and moving around I can accomplish that pretty easily....

None of this biggest loser kinda of shit and trying to lose 12 lbs in a week to jump start my diet like people advertise

Cass, I like that one goal a month idea. That would make it easier to get into that healthy lifestyle forever. Maybe I'll do 2 goals per month since I don't want to take a year to do it all...

It's gorgeous out today, gonna take shithead for a walk here soon! (Plus I already played Wii Fit...lol)

im in the process of reading the whole thread but i lost a bunch of weight in the last couple of months by paying better attention to how much i was eating. i normally eat pretty healthy anyway but what you eat, in my opinion, is 50% more important than what you're doing at the gym

now, you're not going to be tight and firm but i dropped an extra 10lbs easily once i put the fucking fork down, even if it was something healthy

also, sleep is pretty important. personally, i'll skip the gym in favor of a longer nights rest when i need it

i cannot agree more. i feel like a lot of weight loss is contibuted to diet. especially as i got older. i really make it a point to eat healthy and watch my portions.

Definitely. I'm retraining my brain to put the fork down when I'm full. The bf gets offended when he sees food on my plate but I have to keep reminding him what I'm trying to achieve.

I'll tell you, I had a bad year a year ago and I ate really horribly, I mean awful. I'm so ashamed and appalled at how I just lost control when the stress hit the wall so I'm regrouping and finally past a point where I can stop worrying about the bullshit that went down and focus on bettering myself, again, sigh. I'd say so far (it's really only been two weeks of working out plus eating better) I've lost about 4lbs.

I felt amazing when I was at my ideal weight and eating healthy. I never felt better in my entire life and I want that more than fitting into an old pair of jeans. And I want to keep it.

stress, lol when i stress i lose my appetite so no advice there

in the past my bf would fix my plate the same as his and i told him to fix me a smaller serving, i won't be offended, i will eat it if its in front of me so dont put it in front of me

also.. an obvi one.. dont bring junk into your house

i fucking love me some pizza and some doritos and cookies and shit like that but i'll pay the premium at the gas station or lunch spot for a fix once in a blue moon vs storing it in my home for frequent consumption

If walking gets you within your target heart rate zone for 30 minutes, then you must be fatter than I thought.

when you're fat (i'm not talkin' about samwise) then the simple act of walking the dog for 20mins is a form of exercise and is better than sitting on your ass watching TV. so fuckyouverymuch for putting her down for walking her dog because HEY she could be watching TV.

^3 it can still be exercise without doing that

yoga is a form of exercise and I don't think it's ever gotten my heart rate up that much for 30 minutes straight.

^2, ^ agreed

maybe I feel like it's exercise because my dog is a nutcase and pulls so I have to keep pulling back on him to train him not to pull...

It's because people don't want to make changes

they walk their dogs

they eat "healthy choice" frozen dinners

and then they whine when they stay fat

news flash

MAKE BIG FUCKING CHANGES.

There's a reason the people on "The Biggest Loser" drop like 200 lbs. They work their fucking ASSES off every day.

Raising your heart rate by 10% and getting a "cute sweat" and doing yoga on Wii Fit isn't going to do shit. You're not going to change anything and you're going to go "Oh well I'm HELPLESS!" and stay fat.

What's stopping you from going out and running one mile RIGHT NOW? Probably nothing. Probably just yourself.

sign up for a half marathon

for me, seeing

- pregnant women
- a girl who donated a kidney to her mother 9 weeks prior
- people older than me
- people fatter than me

passing me... made me run harder and realize that for my age, i could be doing a lot fucking better for myself
