you lose money by having him 1. not be a repeat customer often enough

and 2. him only coming in and getting the bare minimum to get said "deal"





it's the age old advertising principle: give em something to get them in the door, then try and keep them there

When you're running a business, however, shit is much different. People cop attitudes that can't always be handled. It's not a big deal. You cut those customers loose and please the ones you can.

I could say a lot, but the big, big, big theme here is that, in retrospect, I was out of line. Especially as GM.

Whether or not this man gave military service is null and void. Borderline inciteful. I was out of line, and he in turn reacted quite viciously. It couldve been anyone.

Ruckus is a fine pizza joint. It was good well before I ever worked there, and thousands would attest that its still good. Its purely subjective, but that's taste. I hate papa johns, while billions of ppl disagree with me.

I know very well what I'm doing. Granted, it isn't a major company, I understand the basic elements of running a business well. I also understand the dynamics of building life customers, and sometimes severing customers who are merely out to take advantage of discounts and promotions, or, ultmately to attempt to flip them on their head.

This guy has been there before, and complained about the price of orange juice. Nowhere near this degree, however.

My failure is that I got too comfortable in my usual settings, and assumed I could treat this man like the good share of our customers--like a buddy.

You guys can quit the bickering.
