I ate there for the first time on Sunday, specifally bc you people said it was so good...

Well it sucked. The bread was bland, texture was horrible. The meat had no seasoning or flavor. They only had provolone (i dont know if this is typical or just this one location). I didnt even finish my sandwich.

And it was fucking $12 for 2 sandwiches. No drink no chips

Will not eat again

Prices of subs are just getting out of control. When I worked at JMike's, a regular combo was originally $6 and some change. It's been a few years since I left, but I went to one in SC and the combo was something like $9. While I love the subs, I just can't justify paying that much for a sandwich combo. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I'd even pay for the sandwich alone, but even getting decently priced deli meats at the grocery store is tough anymore (regardless of type or quality, unless you're into bologna).

^Food Lion regularly has 3.88 a pound fresh cut deli meat, which is far from ridiculous. Even normal 5.88 prices aren't bad, and they throw in a bogo special every now and then too. As long as you're not eating half-pound deli sandwiches, you're getting plenty of meals out of it.

Unfortunately, there is no Food Dog near me that I'm aware of. Closest is Piggly Wiggly or IGA.

Uh, they all do that shit except maybe IGA. I mean, even Wal-Mart has a good deli.
