I was just coming off a bad breakup with my girlfriend so I decided to take a vacation to Hawaii to get my mind off of her. But wouldn’t you know it, when I got there, I realized she was staying at the same hotel with his new boyfriend. I tried to avoid her but she spotted me and it was extremely awkward. I needed someone to commiserate with, so I started chatting up the hotel receptionist and we hit it off. We had a good thing going but I nearly blew it by getting drunk and receiving a blowjob from my ex, whose new boyfriend had recently split. The receptionist was very angry and refused to see me anymore. I came back to the states and put on a production of a puppet opera I had been working on, and I sent her an invitation, never actually expecting her to come. But she did! I was working as a journalist for a magazine as the "How to..." woman. One day, I was assigned to write an article called "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days". I told my boss that, to write more freely and creatively, I would date a man and do all the wrong things women tend to do in relationships, and record my experiences for the article.

At the same time, Ben told his boss that he could make any woman fall in love with him in just ten days. To prove it, he decided to find a woman and bring her to his upcoming company ball as his date. If he succeeded, would be put in charge of the advertising for the new diamond company account otherwise headed by his boss.

Ben's rival co-workers, who were at my magazine earlier and were aware of my new assignment, conspired to have me and Ben meet that night. I tried to make him quickly break up with me, but Ben stuck around in order to make me fall in love with him and get the new account. I acted possessive, interfered with Ben's Poker night, and I took him to a Celine Dion concert instead of a New York Knicks basketball game. He stayed with me anyway and now he makes bank!

my fiance through swim team back in HS (small HS too) then again when she, out of boredom, asked me on facebook to go see The Ruins with her, was one of the worse movies ever made... then we hung out at her place a little bit where I got quizzed and apparently passed (on later consultation). I then asked if I aught to ask her out again on a actual date (the other was a un-date), I did, we went and saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall and the rest has been extremely interesting since...

Only real girlfriend I ever had was the daughter of my neighbors in flight school. She was at her parents house one day and saw me outside...she left a note on my door later. I called her up, we went out, and started doing the hibbidy-dibbidy a day or two later.

We never really dated seriously until after I knocked her up. I tried to tolerate her for a year or two, but she was completely intolerable.

First met freshmen year when introduced by a mutual friend, but I didn't remember her then.

Had a lab class together sophomore yearish, but she doesn't remember me.

Fast forward to pretty much a year ago this week and our mutual friend joins TWW and I reconnect with her. Some night afterwards, I tell her I'm going downtown and she tells me to come to Bassment to meet her single friend

Good friend of mine at NC State was dating a girl who was roommates with my future wife. Needless to say my friend and my wife's ex-roommate had a nasty breakup, hate each other now, and are both still single while me and my wife are heading towards our 5th anniversary and enjoying our family life with our 2 year old daughter. Crazy how things work out.

met ex-fiance through a mutual friend . . . he was working two jobs at the time, one of which at a restaurant and we met at mission valley cup a joe outside. He brought small servings of different kinds of desserts from the restaurant. He had a nervous babble thing where he couldn't stop talking and later told me that his first thought when he saw me face to face was "oh thank God she's cute" Lasted about 5 years.

met my bf through his roommate who is friends with one of my best friends. when i first met my boyfriend he was just getting over h1n1 so he wasn't very talkative. but his roommate and him started inviting me out to go out on the weekends. i had to go out of town on business on a sunday and i met them out for a bit on saturday night....my now bf kept buying me drinks in efforts to not have me leave....i had an early flight the next morning. granted i was very hungover on my flight but when i got back that monday night, i met my friends at trivia and he was there. from there we started chatting on fb and he asked me to go to dinner. been dating since august, moving in together in 2 weeks.

Yeah, I'd actually like to settle down in terms of finding a girl I like and keeping her around...but in 30 years, I've never had any luck (at least in more than the very short term) with anyone I had any real interest in...so I just kinda keep doing things the way I know.

Settle down in terms of work 8-5 in a cubicle, have a house in the suburbs and drive a Camry? Hell no.

Met him at a job interview and he became my boss. We would lightly flirt but I never thought anything of it. A month after my then bf and I broke up we started dating. I made t clear I didn't want anything serious but he was just so damn perfect. We went through some really rough shit and we're stronger and happier than ever. He's def the one.

Originally met about six months earlier at a brunch, he was too intimated by me to ask me out (plus I was into one of his friends). Friended on facebook and realized we had a mutual interest in making spectacular costumes. Months later we ran into each other again, this time I was single, he was much more confident. We celebrate a year on Sunday!

I knew by our first "real" date that he was going to be around for a long time. We are oddly perfect for each other, and realized it quickly. Living together now, its still amazing and romantic like that first date- just better.

I first saw her in the spring before coming to NC State, at scholarship interviews. We didn't actually meet then, I just remember seeing a hot redhead who looked all business in her little power suit. Then, we met on move-in weekend because she had gone to governor's school with one of my suitemates and came over to talk to us underneath the pyramids in Sullivan.

I didn't know anyone because I was the only kid from my school at NCSU, so she kept inviting me to dinner with her governor's school friends, and we basically started dating that first week of freshman year. That was over ten years ago, and we've been married for over five. <3
