I want sweeping legislation against gun cases.
1/19/2013 6:53:39 PM
I didn't make it to the gun show or to the Gun Appreciation Day...Instead I was in a field near Creedmoor putting lead into some targets and clays. No complaints about being outside on such a nice day though.
1/19/2013 7:03:31 PM
lol I drove by the fairgrounds at about 1-1:30 pm and saw an ambulance leaving and cop cars coming into the fairgrounds with their lights on

1/19/2013 7:12:51 PM
pretty sure you weren't allowed to conceal carry in there anyway
1/19/2013 7:13:50 PM
1/19/2013 7:17:40 PM
Do we know if this idiot was an NRA member?I ask only because it seems as if he violated every applicable rule of gun safety.
1/19/2013 7:37:37 PM
CC is currently illegal in NC in any venue that requires you to pay an admission fee, so, legally, no one can CC in there anyway.not to mention that your concealed handgun is your last resort. you should run like a bitch if you can.

1/19/2013 7:43:55 PM
I heard there was an accidental shooting at this large gathering of responsible gun owners.
1/19/2013 8:01:15 PM
the hysteria over proposed gun legislation has brought all the retarded hilljacks out of the woodwork
1/19/2013 8:04:04 PM
1/19/2013 8:26:18 PM
Nothing, other than that the NRA's public stance is to constantly promote how their membership is composed of responsible gun owners who practice proper gun safety measures (which I am sure is true for a very large percentage of said members).I'm curious how true that might be in this case.[Edited on January 19, 2013 at 8:54 PM. bahahaha

that looked blatantly staged.

i was at the hickory show awhile back when some dumb taint fired one into the ceiling.in the hush immediately afterwards i was the one saying "stupid fucker" audible over the entire space.
1/19/2013 10:49:03 PM
you should have been yelling "BRAIN-DEAD MOTHERLESS FUCK! YOU'RE GONNA HURT OR KILL SOMEONE, AND MAKE THINGS MORE DIFFICULT FOR EVERY OTHER GUN OWNER, YOU MOTHERFUCKER."
1/19/2013 10:51:40 PM
I asked this in the lounge but I'm curious if I'm the only person that doesn't keep a bullet chambered all the time?
1/19/2013 10:52:34 PM
I keep a round chambered, and my FUCKING FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER.
1/19/2013 10:53:44 PM
Were handgun prices jacked? Or, were they about the same markups you see every time?

I would only consider any discharge accidental if it was caused by some sort of mechanical failure or issue with the firearm. These are extremely rare. The vast majority of these are negligent discharges, which this one most certainly was.
1/20/2013 10:11:56 AM
While it doesn't explain the other incidents at gunshows yesterday I would like to know the make/model/AGE of the shotgun that discharged. Many older shotguns are NOT drop safe in unaltered/new/factory condition. Any of us that have attended these shows know that old stuff is plentiful (sometimes even annoyingly so). Those fucks manning the old shit tables are typically the ones most likely to sweep you with a barrel as well... So combine the most unsafe modern weapons with the most unsafe owners and you have this. The other two shits shot themselves in the parking lots leaving didn't they? Loading their weapons on the way to the car upon leaving the shows?

^ TheDuke is just very arrogant when it comes to his own driving abilities. He seems to forget that there are people in vastly better cars than him who are vastly better drivers who push their cars to the limits who have wrecked their car and taken other people out.[Edited on January 20, 2013 at 1:45 PM. Obesity and an accidental shooting. I consider that a helluva gun show!
1/20/2013 1:49:16 PM
^^ and they are the anomaly of anomalies and just about the absolute last thing you should be worried about on the road. What, maybe 1 in 1000 drivers on the road is better than me, and maybe 1 in 1000 cars on the road are "better" than mine (in terms of performance capability)? How often do those drivers end up in those cars and cause a problem? That was my original point--goalielax riding my nuts, as usual, is even more of an example of barking up the wrong tree than it is to be specifically focused on the weapons that are responsible for a nearly negligible amount of our legitimate gun violence problem. If you want to unfuck our highways, I'm about #10,000 on the priority list.
1/20/2013 3:21:10 PM
damn man, you must have an awesome car and be an awesome driver!
1/20/2013 3:29:31 PM
The bar is set awfully low for drivers, and the handful of cars that will outperform a Z06 Corvette are awfully rare relative to the SUVs, Camrys, pickup trucks, Hyundais, that make up the vast, vast majority of what's on the road.[Edited on January 20, 2013 at 3:37 PM. Reason : ]
1/20/2013 3:31:35 PM
Oddly enough, those cars don't need to perform better than your rockin corvette at the speed limit. And how do you quantitatively say you're better than every 1 in 1000 drivers? Hell, ex F1 driver Clay Regazzoli died after rear ending a lorry, and even while paralyzed, he was a better driver than you. And let's assume you are a good driver, just because there are statistically less of you on the road, doesn't make your recklessness any less dangerous. Keep your shit on private tracks and off public roads.

1/20/2013 5:31:24 PM

^^why?
1/21/2013 12:15:33 PM
I laughed a bit when I heard this. I'm just glad no one died.
