I think I said this before but Q almost misses as many layups as Middlebrooks last year. Sagnia seems to get worse as the season goes, he should at least be athletic enough to get some rebounds. Darrion Williams has got to stop with the contested 3’s. Watching Able get more time and develop is the only exciting thing about this team lately.

I think if we lose to Stanford and then again in the acc tournament, we would end the season losing 7 out of 8 which would be incredibly bad. That combined with our lack of really good wins and multiple bad losses would conspire to keep us out despite our kenpom/net/whatever rankings

I mean even if we beat Stanford, our last month+ of the season has been very poor.

I think our potential seeding in the NCAA tournament could vary wildly. We're probably a 9ish seed right now. Win the ACC (and beat Duke in the process)? Maybe a 6 or 7 seed. Lose out? Miss the thing all together or end up in a play in game.

I also take some perverse pleasure in NC State shit. I lost my emotional investment years ago after too many unnecessarily ruined days and nights. Now I can be much more even-keeled without these ups and downs. But lots of downs.

I would still prefer for NC State to win, but it doesn't bother me when they lose, because I have no expectations or hopes any more on this topic. That's why the run several years ago was so much fun. I assumed NC State would lose at every state, but they just kept on winning, until they ran up against that giant guy.

Pitt is a lose, lose game at quad 3. Doesn't do shit for our resume to win. Completely kills us if we lose. So, then we are in a situation where we need to beat UVA to really shore up our NCAA odds. 3rd times the charm right? /s

With Stanford, they're a solid Quad 2 game, so we still have an outside prayer at the tourney no matter the outcome. A decisive win might push us back out of bubble talk (hopefully). A loss would push us deeper into it, but we'd still have a prayer.
