wait wait wait - I can't wrap my head around this. Not even a year ago - you were so destitute and worthless that you were living off your boyfriend rent free and had massive credit card debt AND CONTINUED TO LIVE WITH HIM RENT FREE AND BITCH AFTER YOU BROKE UP.Now you own a fucking house and have a fiancee?
1/5/2009 11:45:17 PM
page 3 gave me a headache.
1/5/2009 11:45:23 PM
god damn $500 for a 16x20 piece of shit?
^{however far up that was}... or the post right below this one."4 a: the conscious use of skill and creative imagination especially in the production of aesthetic objects"Would be the most accurate definition in this context. But fuck the "aesthetic objects" part, performance is (can be) art as well. But a Webster entry really doesn't do the term justice at all.[Edited on January 5, 2009 at 11:47 PM. Reason : .]

haha [user][/user]elise[user] No one told me art meant i had to be fucking emotionaldoes it count that meddling in art makes me happiest?
1/5/2009 11:48:06 PM
number 6
1/5/2009 11:48:59 PM
why do you confuse "emotional" with sad?jesus. its like you're a modern music critic.your art can certainly convey happiness.
1/5/2009 11:49:42 PM
I didn't know people painted just for money. Usually painters do this hobby because like any other hobby it gives release, makes them happy, etcboat painting is up now, price was recommended by a gallery owner
1/5/2009 11:52:18 PM
don't kid yourself. it starts like most musicians--you start because of the love, the catharsis, etc. I imagine when you start to make money at it--even a LIVING--your motivation shifts. hence, so many bands losing creativity, etc, in their latter years. I'm sure the same goes for artists. shit, why the fuck else would you post it on etsy if you weren't trying to capitalize on it?
1/5/2009 11:55:01 PM
on your $245 sub painting, why is there a separation in the middle of the "con tower"what were you trying to say in that space?
1/5/2009 11:55:12 PM
its a commentary on the nature of modern warfare rightthe communication is all one-directional, so you don't even need a way to reach your home country or even navigate, even if you wind up running agroundthats it, right?

Because people kept telling me to sell my shit so I decided to give it a shot. Woodfoot, my long lost desire to beat conformity is in that blank space
1/5/2009 11:58:06 PM
it's easy to beat conformity when your stomach is bloated from pizza hut's personal pan pizzas

Are you trying to be funny? not you trombonerall my stuff brings joy. ive been wanting to do a three paneled piece for a while but i do best with mixing paints really, like the sky in the boat one. but im testing my boundaries with the flowers and such. Just practicing and I have pride in it[Edited on January 6, 2009 at 12:01 AM. Reason : ok]
1/5/2009 11:59:34 PM
I don't care if he did do it for the $$$ and it did only take him like 30 minutes,I would freaking KILL for a Bob Ross painting.[Edited on January 6, 2009 at 12:01 AM. Reason : I agree though, the boat picture kicks ass, much better than the tree]
1/6/2009 12:00:30 AM
what has the world come to that a fine young lady like Kiwi can't paint up some stuff and call it art?it might be bad art, but some people are on a bit of a high horse.
1/6/2009 12:01:27 AM
here's a serious question...what is your favourite music and why?
1/6/2009 12:02:05 AM
I do take all your criticisms to heart (minus the extremists)[Edited on January 6, 2009 at 12:03 AM. Reason : ^I know where that's going--i see your point]

all I have to say isnot knowing anything about Jackson Pollock is basically inexcusablewhether or not you think his paintings are "art"[Edited on January 6, 2009 at 12:05 AM. Reason : .]
1/6/2009 12:05:05 AM
Sorry never heard of the man. Or maybe I did and just didn't like his art so quickly forgot him.Who knows?
1/6/2009 12:05:57 AM
which begs the questionwho is your favorite painter (not yourself)?
1/6/2009 12:07:13 AM
I dont save names of people who paint, there's a lot of stuff I like but after being at a few art museums one that I love, probably for the brush strokes alone is this guy:go ahead, judge me

1/6/2009 12:13:27 AM
no wonder you dish your brush strokes around like fucking pennies in a fountain
1/6/2009 12:13:35 AM

1/6/2009 12:14:26 AM
1/6/2009 12:16:11 AM
were you serious with "this guy"do you seriously not know that "starry night" is van gogh? or were you just playing around ?/I was serious about my music question too...
1/6/2009 12:17:18 AM
do you know one of the first steps in telling a forgery from the real painting?these days they use 3-d x-ray technology to count the different brush strokessee, real artists know what they're going for, get the brush strokes they need, and they're donepeople trying to copy a specific look or specific painting will use more brush strokes than necessaryand you, dear kiwi, have brush strokes for days
1/6/2009 12:17:32 AM
Getting out of my comfort zone. But it seems all great artist's tend to stick to what they know and are distinguishable by keeping to that similar theme.I dont know if it will sell, Im not really concerned with selling it, it'd be nice but I wouldn't mind having it on my own wall so...I had to google van gogh to get the painting link silly ^That's gay woodfoot. blending is one of my specialties (if you haven't noticed) for the idea of a background i used a larger brush to hurry the process and get a better blending scale, HOLY SHIT READ INTO ME MORE[Edited on January 6, 2009 at 12:20 AM. orly? you can call something a van gogh when you see it, a picasso when you see it. wtfmateOFF NUTS
1/6/2009 12:21:16 AM
All art is personal, and beginning artists do tend to stick with familiar subjects, feelings, etc.
1/6/2009 12:22:28 AM
I painted a kickass wolf in high school art class.Sold it for $45 at a local art gallery. This was the pinnacle of my artistic achievement.
1/6/2009 12:23:19 AM
The first branch painting is fucking horrible. HS art class type shit.
1/6/2009 12:23:27 AM
1/6/2009 12:23:42 AM
I think some artists pick up the brush without knowing what they want and going with what they feel until it progresses into something.
1/6/2009 12:25:14 AM
You really are the stupidest cunt alive.
1/6/2009 12:25:41 AM
