Well said. What happened to the Indians was terrible and should not have happened, but those times were different. There were no government funded programs for poor people. If all of these illegals get a citizenship then even more will cut into the food stamp fund. If we send them all back then all of those people currently getting WIC and EBT because of their babies will no longer be taking money from that fund. That can't be a bad thing.

^That's also because they CAN'T consume those services. And they're encouraged to pay taxes, even the illegal ones, because it shows an intent to do things lawfully and can be good evidence in a possible removal case. And if they aren't doing it willfully, then they've told their employer they are allowed to work, and still pay those taxes.

I can't see them on average contributing that much. The ones that have babies here in the US get food stamps because they are poor. I guess it could add up to 88k per household, if you count all 10 of them that are living in the same trailer.

A net positive for the legal immigrants, who's to say that once we dilute the pool of legal immigrants with 1 million or so illegal immigrants that it will come out the same.

There is a path to citizenship and it's strict for a reason and we need boarder control for a reason. It's to protect the american citizens. If we let just anyone come across and make them a citizen we encourage the problems in mexico to continue. They have a country if its so shitty they feel the need to leave, go through the legal means or fight to have the country you want. If you aren't willing to fight for your own country. Thats what we did, regardless of what you think about the tragedy of how we handled the native americans, we were colonists who didn't like how we were being run so we fought for our right to set up the government we wanted, and we can still do that today if everyone would get off their lazy asses, pay attention to issues, and quit voting in the same old people just because they are one party or the other.

So for all the people saying that the legal immigration process needs reform

How many people do you propose the country legally allow to immigrate here per year?

Further, how do you go about making the process in general happen more quickly? Let people through even if they can't read, write and understand simple words and phrases in the English language? Let people become citizens even if they can't pass the literacy test? Decrease the time period in which the CIS has to inform you of their decision to less than 120 days?
