I will say, I saw this on Sunday. In a theater full of middle aged women. It is not as bad as it sounds. Honestly, it was the best of the four so far, so almost mediocre on a normal movie scale. The acting has SERIOUSLY improved. The actors and actresses actually look the part they play now, and for the first time ever, I've thought Rob Pattinson was actually attractive. The cat-calling from the audience when Taylor Lautner hit the screen was a little annoying.I would also like to point out, that if I had my choice, Alice would dress me every day.

I still maintain they should have had Ridley Scott direct this movie.

I could see that working. The first director was not great, I thought the first 2 movies were terrible, the 3rd was acceptable. The new director for this one was really spot on with the books.

My girlfriend dragged me to this.Worst move I've ever sat through, and I've seen the previous 3 in the series.

But they did the "falling in love with a baby" scene in the least creepy way possible I will say the wolf-alpha dog fight was terribly done. The reverb voices had half the theater laughing at what was not meant to be a funny part.

From what my vapid cousins tell me, I think I would just be pissed off the whole time while reading these books. Bella seems like a total tool. I've only watched the first movie, thanks to my cousin, and heard about the rest from them.

They are great brain candy books. They are fun, and nothing more. They are not well written, the plot isn't complex, and the characters aren't complex. But, it's a good rainy weekend, or beach read. I read them while studying for exams back in law school, because it was easy to take my mind and just relax from all the law studying...That said, Bella, in the first three books, is the antithesis of a strong female lead. However, she redeems herself in the last book. And yes, I got pissed off at the redundancy of the "woe is me, I need my boyfriend" attitude.[Edited on November 23, 2011 at 11:43 AM. Reason : ]

Just saw the movie. And having read the books, this is definitely a filler movie. Not a lot happened. But given how much actually happens in the book, I understand why they split it up. I just hope they do the rest of the book justice. And I hope this movie doesn't turn people off from the series. Seriously. Nothing happened. But I am excited about the next movie. And about seeing Bella stop being so whiny and be the heroine she's meant to be.
