""you're the only person i've seen to make such a claim.""

I have been saying it for almost a decade on TWW. Dietary cholesterol has almost no effect on blood cholesterol level, unless you are consuming like a ton of it.

It is the saturated fat that you eat that increases blood cholesterol level. But, not all saturated fat is bad. Plant origin saturated fat (coconut oil, cocoa butter) has been shown in studies to not increase blood cholesterol level, and in a couple of studies to actually lower LDL!!! So, you have to decrease animal origin saturated fat.

I'd rather have steamed, grilled, sauteed, etc. vegetables on the side. I feel more full with this."

Same here. And I didn't grow up with salads... vegetables were always part of the main dish.

Maybe I should start doing that too! That's not ridiculous, that's one of the best things you can do for your heart, and health in general! A Greek friend of my father told him that on one of the small Greek islands, the locals drink a glass of olive oil at/for breakfast. That's an extreme, but as I said, still one of the healthiest things you can do (as long as the calories from the oil replace similar calories from other food). Countless studies have backed up the health claims of olive oil, even when consumed in large quantities (up to 50% of daily calories).

Could get quite expensive though, if done daily.

i havent touched it in a loooong while and this thread made me want to see.

looks like today will be around 1600 cals (i overestimated a bit [i ususally do that] and it's including what ill end up eating tonight)
21% carbs
25% protein
54% fat

ahahaha
those pistachio and avocados'll do it.
