I got in a fight with a doberman once.It wasn't trying to kill me or anything, but it was trying to assert dominance and I wasn't having any of it.

"pit bull" is a description covering a few breeds
1/18/2011 4:17:27 PM
yeah, the "standard" mix is english bull dog and a terrier, but there are soooo many variationsTHAT ARE ALL KILLERS AND NEED TO BE REGARDED AS SUCH! RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!
1/18/2011 4:23:38 PM
I thought we were talking about the American Pit Bull Terrier.Like this evil murder monster

I've never been attacked by pits. I've seen some mean ass dalmations, german sheppards, chows, dobermans, but never a pit. Also, i thought I knew dogs til that one just kept coming after me. not cool.[Edited on January 18, 2011 at 5:12 PM. Reason : fwe]

1/18/2011 5:12:47 PM

1/18/2011 5:13:40 PM

i'm a bit late here guys, but i don't believe that this girl is from texas.not for a second.
1/18/2011 11:49:17 PM
pit bulls eat children
1/18/2011 11:50:50 PM
i challenge anyone to find a vet who would recommend a dalmatian for a family with children
1/18/2011 11:51:57 PM
I miss my pit bull. She was so sweet. I was thinking of finding a pit bull pup to raise with my baby.
1/18/2011 11:54:49 PM
My parents dalmations were sweeties to friends and family Although one hated other dogs and the other was insecure around little kids...got her when my sister and I were in middle/high schoolbut we also weren't retarded and avoided situations that could end badly, and were good responsible owners
1/18/2011 11:55:32 PM
i guess middle/high school is still "kids", but i was talking about young children
1/18/2011 11:56:17 PM
I am now going to hijack this thread to show off my vicious animalPlease feel free to follow suit if you have a pit (mix, purebred, whatevs) Ok I'm done now[Edited on January 19, 2011 at 12:03 AM. Reason : I've been trying to get a picture of his pit smile for almost 2 years now ]
1/19/2011 12:01:32 AM
I love gambit's sideways head pic
1/19/2011 12:02:36 AM
it's too bad I'm far away now... our little ones could have had play dates I'm a fan of her State blanket pic
1/19/2011 12:04:10 AM
if he likes to chase then stella would LOVE him[Edited on January 19, 2011 at 12:05 AM. Reason : .]
1/19/2011 12:05:03 AM
I think he likes to be chased more than doing the chasing... mainly because he outruns other dogs and taunts them is she fast?
1/19/2011 12:06:30 AM
yes, she does the exact same thing, she loves being chased because she's fast as fuck
1/19/2011 12:08:50 AM
sam - my doggy looks similar to yours (in faceshape/ears)i wonder if she is some sort of pit/lab/hound or pointer or brittany mix?she has that dopey pit smile for sure.hard to tell in this pic but that last pic you posted of yours is how she looks normally with her ears. they're either to the side kinda like bat ears (lol) of back unless she is especially perplexed, which she was in this pic lolbut she is also SUPER muscular (like a pit). i'm guessing she has pit in her. who knows really! silly pound puppies!
1/19/2011 12:14:32 AM
definitely see pit in her headears and snout primarily[Edited on January 19, 2011 at 12:19 AM. Reason : .]
1/19/2011 12:17:04 AM
definitely has some pit, and she looks like some pointer mixes i've seen. on an unrelated note i was trying to find a good example of a pointer mix and i found these two pics that i just thought were funny:also a couple cute ones here:http://solarphotographers.com/blog/2010/01/21/dog-photographer-0121/(ps, searching for a pic in front of the lady friend was a terrible idea, looks like i may be in the search to adopt now)
1/19/2011 12:23:44 AM
yeah, I can see the pit in her head, and in the way she is sitting in the last pictureI would think some type of pit/pointer mixI decided to Google pit/greyhound mixes one night and found this link: http://dailypetpic.com/2010/09/30/sammy-the-adoptable-terrierpit-bullgreyhound-mix/(I figured he was pit/greyhound but that link was my validation It's his twin!)
1/19/2011 12:26:07 AM
^^ lol at the one with the underbite!!yea i see it most in her head and the way she sits. i love her!!!!! she is the sweetest. sweet, but seems dumb as a stone, lol.
1/19/2011 12:28:15 AM
my dog sits sidesaddle, it's so weird, never seen another dog do it. kinda worried it may cause long term damage on her hips
1/19/2011 12:30:28 AM
lots of dogs sit like that, i wouldn't worry too much unless she is at high risk because of other breeds that are mixed in
1/19/2011 12:32:02 AM
hahaha aw... doesn't she like to look out windows?Gambit is insanely strong, too.... His jaws are insane. When we play tug-of-war, if I have enough room I can spin him while biting on the toy, eventually having him off the ground Yeah I wouldn't worry about it for reasons ^ said... Gambit does this weird frog sit (you can see it in the head tilt picture). It looks insanely uncomfortable[Edited on January 19, 2011 at 12:33 AM. Reason : .]
1/19/2011 12:32:27 AM
yea she is still getting the whole dog thing down. wouldn't stick her head out the window until about a month ago haha
1/19/2011 12:34:25 AM
we had a zip-line in our backyard when i was a kid and ours would jump up and bite and and we could push him down the zip line. i think he liked it. when he finally died (at 18) his teeth were in pretty rough shape though, so be careful.
1/19/2011 12:35:15 AM
^^^^apparently pits have a history of hip something the other, but whatever she'll be well taken care of^^^I gave up playing tug of war because I can't win
1/19/2011 12:36:32 AM
Ouchies... Yeah it's not a thing we do often seeing as my apartment is too small to spin his big ass around in
1/19/2011 12:37:24 AM
I do enjoy making her jump around and busting her ass trying to get something, she's clumsier than me
1/19/2011 12:38:21 AM
The only reason I win when we play tug is because I tell him to "drop it"
1/19/2011 12:39:03 AM
I need to teach her that, I just distract her and snatch that shit
1/19/2011 12:41:30 AM
I'm not one that dislikes pit bulls due to their aggressiveness. They're just damn ugly dogs.
1/19/2011 12:45:44 AM
I won't lie, I think the pink nose is kind of ugly, glad mine doesn't have one
1/19/2011 12:47:10 AM
I think they're adorableI know Gambit isn't your typical pit mix, but I always get told he's a handsome doggy [Edited on January 19, 2011 at 12:54 AM. Reason : v I meant pits in general, not necessarily the pink nose]
1/19/2011 12:50:31 AM
ya, its just my opinion, plenty of people think otherwise and thats cooleverybody always says stella is a pretty dog, and they aint lying!
1/19/2011 12:52:26 AM
I too have a pit bullHer name is Bella
1/19/2011 12:52:45 AM
pics!
1/19/2011 12:54:28 AM
not my dog, and i'm not completely sure what she is, but she lives with me now (also not me in the pic)
1/19/2011 12:57:48 AM
adorabledefinitely see boxer in the bigger one and I see pit in the smaller one but only because her face looks like a darker version of mine
1/19/2011 1:02:05 AM
Precious!!!! I especially love the third pic.... fits nicely with the thread
1/19/2011 1:03:55 AM
oh yeah, didn't realize the boxer was in most of the pics. she's new.
1/19/2011 1:04:28 AM
totally vicious
