I was asked once to move cross country to Seattle. As much as I loved him I said no. Never could never will. that's a big commitment for two people who aren't committed committed. that and know too many people who did and they always break up.

Apparently, she is still online reading...but she's not posting. Instead, she's silently judging all of you.

here's a serious-ish response. my husband and I did an international relationship for 3 years. we've now been married for 2 years. It was hard, but worth it, because we both had different things we had to work on in the short term. in the long term we made our plans come together, and now we are together.

dammit, I should have made a thread before moving in with my boyfriend. Instead I just willingly packed up my belongings and followed him, never looking back. Now I'll never know if I made the right choice because I didn't ask TWW first.

haha, TWW told him he was right. This just sets it in stone, per the interwebs.
1/28/2011 8:19:02 AM
I guess he just wanted a 2nd opinion
1/28/2011 8:43:16 AM
1/28/2011 9:11:22 AM
He's only like 24 right? I don't think the whole "if you've been together for (x amount of time) you need to be married" mindset is the best idea for people who got together so young.
1/28/2011 9:13:45 AM
They will become just like the parents a friend of mine had growing upthey were either fucking, or fighting about something stupidall the damn time
1/28/2011 9:19:38 AM
I tend to feel bad for people who get together as teenagers and get married. That's what my parents did and they spent most of my childhood fighting with each other. It wasn't until the last 5 years or so they finally mellowed out. My sister and I were convinced they would get divorced. I guess they still have time
