If you look at the airplane selections over time of the 0.1%, 1% and top 10%70s and 80s: Light Jet (Elvis), Bonanza (Steve Wozniak), commercial airlines2025: Heavy Jet (Taylor Swift), Cirrus with occasional NetJets (Director at Amazon), business class and 1980s era plane if they own.Same will be true of helicopters for the use case of moving across populated areas quickly and it will be more accessible to that top 10% group. Something will have to fill the niche even if it’s not vtol.

^ I think that's mostly the interest rate and free money drying up. Before you had VC funded companies pulling talent from the big players and the smaller players hiring people from bootcamps. Today the smaller players have their run of the new grads and the startups just aren't as plentiful. The narrative and threat of AI is there and leadership/HR is definitely using that as a way to squeeze people lucky enough to find a job.One anecdote, HackerNews (startup focused tech site) would a thousand job posts on a "monthly who's hiring thread" in 2022.
