Glennon's stats (Yards, TDs, Completion %) makes him a top 30 QB. However, his/the teams 7.9 yards per pass attempt is not even top 50.

i usually sit in front of the stereotypical dumb redneck PP poster. he wouldn't be happy if there wasn't something to complain about. This year he talks about RW as if he State's greatest player ever. He's the same guy who continually cursed tob the last couple years for not playing glennon after every rw mistake.and MG's stats ain't bad. i did notice he's taken 3x as many sacks this year. No doubt due to inferior 0-line play and not being able to scramble and throw it away.

sorry, just posted this elsewhere, but realized it should go here

Look, Glennon is a good qb/is going to be a good QB, but the whole premise of this thread is retarded.(I'm still pissed my Imhoff Heisman Watch thread got locked )
10/11/2011 1:33:48 PM
yall niggas postin a troll thread
10/11/2011 1:35:23 PM
nobody thinks he's actually going to win the heisman. it's just a thread to discuss the woflpack's new qb.so, hypothetically, if tob happens to be let go after this year do you think glennon would tranfer, since he wouldn't have to sit out?
10/11/2011 1:43:16 PM
yes, he would transfer to wisconsin and win the heisman there.
10/11/2011 1:48:57 PM
it could happen
10/11/2011 1:50:00 PM
we will become a new pipeline of recruits for wisconsin.

Named offensive back of the week. 19/29, 253 yards, 3 TDs against #7 Clemson. Not bad.
11/21/2011 1:09:22 PM
While leading State to it's biggest comeback ever (and 2nd biggest in ACC conference history), Glennon tied two other records:-Six TDs (five passes and one run) - only other State QB to do this was Rivers-Five TD passes - Glennon's only the 5th State QB to this, RW did it in '09 against FSUNow that the season is (almost) over, does anyone still think we would have had a better record with RW? Nothing against RW at all, but I think Glennon had a pretty good season (and no, I don't think he will win the Heisman )
11/27/2011 11:27:24 AM
Maybe. Maybe not. It's really pointless to speculate.
11/27/2011 11:59:39 AM
I know, i know. But plenty of people were speculating at the beginning of the season.Anyways, it's pretty amazing that Glennon had such a good game, after the offense played so shitty for for the first 3 quarters.
11/27/2011 12:03:33 PM
already in the P Rivers club for scoring 6 TD's in a single game. only 2 people in ncstate history can say that. 28TDs for season #1 aint too shabby.

Glennon's season stats are pretty comparable to RW's too. (And RW has the luxury on being a part of a more potent offense... of course that means their RBs get more of the yards and TDs)I looked for the WRAL gif that compared the two QBs stats, but i couldn't find it.Is someone really comparing Glennon to Beck?

if i was TOB, and MG had a chance to throw 7 tds in the bowl, just to fuck all the haters, i would, just so he could have the record out-right. j u s t b e c a u s e...[Edited on November 28, 2011 at 1:31 PM. Reason : ]

(i actually agree with you for the record!!!)we've got tj yates playing 3rd string for the texans (and getting PT), wilson has already been annointed the 'next brees', bryn renner is heralded as the best qb in history at unc, danny obrien is still hyped up every week by heather dinich....and yet glennon is the one still getting shit on by everybody.[Edited on November 28, 2011 at 1:50 PM. he's set and tied multiple NCSU records with a mediocre line, receivers, and running backs. he should be great next year.

Generally I'm happy with the way Glennon is playing, especially considering it's his first year playing, but it looks like he's really tentative when it comes to passing the ball more than 10 years, despite having a rocket for an arm. At first I thought it used to be the play calling, but more and more it appears to the Glennon. I don't know if it's him not seeing the routes, or him being tentative about interceptions, but during the Maryland game, especially in the first half (but the whole game really) he had wide open receivers 20-30 yards down the field and would check down 90% of the time, and time was rarely the issue.Maybe most of the issue is the receivers not getting open, but being at the Maryland game on Saturday, that's not how it appeared to me.]

The WR play had been really bad most of the year, but Smith and Palmer have picked it up and the others have dropped less balls. I have no clue who will be our top WR next year. 3 of the 4 on the two deep chart are SR. we only get Palmer back and i think he will have a big year. Payton is a SO and also Underwood who is super fast.Hakeem Flowers is our highest rated in the last 3 classes (109, 3 STARHSS) if you don't count Creecy (35, 4 STARHSSS)[Edited on November 28, 2011 at 2:44 PM. Reason : Redsshirt Flowers. Also we have only taken 1 WR in 2011 (flowers) and 2010 (creecy listed at WR but plays RE and Palmer listed at RB plays WR) and 2 WR in 2009 (Underwood and Payton)[Edited on November 28, 2011 at 2:50 PM. Hakeem Flowers was a 4-star right? He should be pretty good but obviously he will take a few games to become acclimated to the college atmosphere.
11/28/2011 2:42:51 PM
We'll have a redshirt Flowers AND athlete Morgan projected to play WR next year, and we've got two committed for 2012. And we've got a lot of depth at TE, despite losing Bryan. Mustafa should help out some too.[Edited on November 28, 2011 at 2:57 PM. Reason : B Underwood is a rs freshman this year, payton is a rs sophomore]

I bet that Charlie Hegedus (if he stays committed to us) is going to be a stud here.He is a tall, physical receiver with sub 4.5 Speed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTO1fI9gbMY[Edited on November 28, 2011 at 3:54 PM. Reason : /]

glennon should be in the running for first team all acc next season if he keeps playing like he did in the last part of this season
12/28/2011 12:49:01 PM
glennon pwns every qb in the acc. not even a questionable topic.
12/28/2011 12:55:10 PM
i'll defer judgement until next year. he made some boneheaded plays this year. hell, the INT last night was pretty bad. but, he definitely played well at times, too.

12/28/2011 1:24:54 PM
what's there to at? Glennon doesn't suck, but he certainly had some crappy days this year. And to say he is the best QB in the ACC is a stretch, especially with guys like Taj Boyd and Sammy Watkins out there ]
12/28/2011 1:42:30 PM
Sammy Watkins is a pretty great QB. Wait, what?
