i hope you're quoting a cookbook, because that description sounds kind of pompous

you're going a little overboard on the adjectives and sounding like a pompous french cookbook

im going to disagree with you here,

and say that he only used the appropriate adjectives to properly and adequately describe what he was talking about

^^Sorry...would "chocolate cake" be good enough for you?

Cause it sounds fucking boring to me. The adjectives i used were to describe the particular components, and are the actual fucking names of said components.

"flourless chocolate cake" - A cake with a very small percentage of flour giving it a much more dense, heavy and rich taste and texture than a typical chocolate cake.

"rum-chocolate italian butter cream" - Italian buttercream is a specific type of buttercream made with italian meringue. Chocolate and rum were used to flavor it.

"silky dark chocolate ganache" I used a darker, higher percentage cacao chocolate than typical and added butter and cornsyrup to give it the "silky" sheen and texture. The actual name of the recipe i used was silky ganache deluxe....i left off the deluxe because that would be pompous .

In fact, my original description is probably pretty damn close, if not exactly, how it would be worded if seen on a menu.

All the time when its just me eating. This was for my parents and grandparents.

My dinner half the week is usually nothing more than a bowl of cereal

^^ Oooh, is it hard to make those from scratch?

I made this:

Spicy sesame noodles like they have at Whole Foods, but I think these came out a crapload better than the ones they make there.

We'll see how this turns out. I have no idea, but even if it's not up to my standards, my bf will eat it.

I've marinated chicken in lemon juice with pepper, and laid the breasts on top of a sprig of rosemary each, with basil, sage, and a couple mint leaves (all those plants needed cutting back, hence the combination) to finish marinating. turned them once, and put a few splashes of worchestshire sauce on each breast.

We'll grill corn, and I've got some carrot and onion packets with salt, pepper, EVOO, and some rosemary and basil to throw on the grill too.

I've sugared up strawberries to put on angel food cake with fresh whipped cream <3 for dessert. For him. The raspberries are all mine
