bttt for question time.
2/22/2010 8:49:43 PM
how often do you work out and what do you do?
2/22/2010 8:53:44 PM
i work out about 4-5 times a week. but i've learned that it's not so much how much i work out but more what i eat. so now i've been trying to really focus on eating healthy along with working out.working out wise, i normally run. i run a lot at lake johnson but if its crappy or cold out then i'm at the gym either on the treadmill or on the spinning bike. then i do weights. or are you asking what i do for a living? in that case i work in international project management for a clinical research company.
2/22/2010 9:00:46 PM
when you run, do you have a goal or are you just doing it to do it? you should sign up for a race.
2/22/2010 9:06:20 PM
hahai meant working out but then my next question was going to be for a living so you answered bothhow do you stay motivated to work out? there's this really cute bathing suit i want to buy for the summer and i'm going on a cruise for my 26th bday (not until july, but hey...i need something to look forward to). plus i'm graduating from school in may so it seems like that would be motivation to work out. i feel like i'm on the brink of motivation because i've been eating healthy (you know minus a slice of pizza here and there) since the new year started. any tips?
2/22/2010 9:07:51 PM
i've done a bunch of races. i actually run for my company on the 5K women's team. right now i'm just running because i actually fell back in love with running recently. i went through this period where i would want to run and i would start and my body would be like, "yeah NO." ever since going gluten free, i've been running so much better and faster. i think thats my motivation again. normally i run about 3 miles outside at lake johnson and almost 4 miles if i'm on the treadmill. baby steps. i'm definitely getting faster though.
2/22/2010 9:09:32 PM
i miss lake johnson, the hills there are pretty epic. you should try running the dirt trail if you haven't done it much.
2/22/2010 9:10:46 PM
dirt/mulch trails KILL my one knee. i'm more of a pavement person but i'm hoping as i get better i can do both and do the full run. i love the hills!!!! i can get completely around the lake (the paved part) hills and all in 30 minutes. i think that's a pretty good start considering i couldn't run for the longest time.
2/22/2010 9:14:28 PM
that's weird since dirt/mulch is softer than pavement/asphalt. to each their own!
2/22/2010 9:20:09 PM
i like your idea of mini goalslike maybe i should just say: every day this week (starting tomorrow since i clearly didn't start today haha) i will run 1 mile. instead of going and running like 5 miles and then being sore for like 3 weeks and totally losing all motivation.
2/22/2010 9:21:37 PM
do you have any secrets about cheap airfare you would like to share?
2/22/2010 9:22:13 PM
yeah definitely start on a smaller level or your body will be all and you won't want to work out again. also on days when i really dont want to work out, i tell myself "if you complete a work out, you can have a fruit smoothei" or something like that.
2/22/2010 9:33:52 PM
bttt keep me entertained with your questions yall.
3/2/2010 12:57:15 PM

Who was your favorite member of NWA?
3/2/2010 1:02:32 PM
i got my degree in Sociology with a concentration in Social Research. figures my university would bring in a degree specifically for Clinical Research as i was graduating. for years my dad would bitch about how my degree was worthless.....but 2 companies and a promotion later, he's very proud of me. which works because i went to school for something i love and now i get to apply what i learned for a company and position i love.
3/2/2010 1:03:14 PM
never really been a fan of NWA. wasn't Dr Dre a member of NWA?
3/2/2010 1:03:59 PM
how much foreign language did you have to jam in?
3/2/2010 1:04:52 PM
none. my company makes sure all employees worldwide can speak, read, and write English....although i know a bit of German.[Edited on March 2, 2010 at 1:06 PM. Reason : i took latin in college but that was a joke.]
3/2/2010 1:05:39 PM
What is the difference between jam and jelly?
3/2/2010 1:15:47 PM
hmmm i dont really know but per a quick google search it says this:Jam and jelly are two different types of fruit preserves, and the difference between jam and jelly is actually quite significant in terms of flavor, texture, and nutritional value. In addition to jellies and jams, it is also possible to see a range of other types of fruit preserves, including confit, fruit butter, conserves, marmalade, and fruit curds. Both jam and jelly have been made for centuries, and they appear to be native to Europe.
3/2/2010 1:20:22 PM
I was looking for a different answer. C'est la vie.
