haha I walked out in to the hallway recently and an older couple asked me where 541 Spring Forest was... I work on Falls of Neuse so I said "Well you just turn left out of the parking lot and you can turn right or left at the McDonalds and you're on Spring Forest... and the old man said "NO!!!!!! WHERE IS 541?!?!?!?" And I said... "Sir, I don't know - I work on Falls of Neuse - I don't know specific building numbers on another street" and his wife said "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!"And he said "YOU'RE A DRUNKEN SAILOR!" Best insult ever.

when i was in high school i worked at a jersey mikes for a little while (back then i could eat like 2 giant subs a day, no homo)

so anyway i was sort of like the shift leader after a while, and one day this woman comes in and orders a sandwich, we make it, put all the shit on it, wrap it up down at the register and am ringing her up and she goes, "oh wait, i wanted....[some other sandwich]...and i said, "ok no big deal, we can make you the other one real quick" thinking she was ordering both sandwiches and forgot that she was supposed to get two or something.

so i make the other one, and ring her up for both, and she is like, no i only want the second one.

im like, "ma'am, you can't just order a sandwich, have us make it and then change your order right at the register. you're doing it wrong."

she tells me the customer is always right and i should just give her the second sandwich and i was like "ma'am i will give you the second sandwich but you need to pay for the first one too."

it would be a lot different if she had stopped us like, while the meat was being put on or something.

so she is raving some more, and finally is like, WHATEVER, IM LEAVING, AND IM GOING TO TELL MY HUSBAND". i just stare at her "..."

then, no shit, like 45 min later, a guy walks in and says he's her husband and he doesn't appreciate how i treated his wife. again, "..." i explain to him what his stupid wife tried to do and he also goes into the "customer is always right" talking points, and i was like, "sir if every customer was like your wife, we would go out of business so no, the customer is not always right and especially in this case."

the entire time this was all going on, a few different families were in the restaurant so they saw both encounters and they all came up to me afterward and were like "unbelievable. as members of the same society, thank you for standing up to those fucking idiots"
