THE JET WITH THE FLOP!!! nba action, fantastic.
5/3/2012 10:06:27 PM
I'm sorry, but benching Dirk is the Mavs' only chance at getting back in this series.
5/3/2012 10:06:54 PM
^ agreed, they need to get brandan wright into the game ASAP.Dallas just got mugged on the no call on the charge and the obvious goaltend.
5/3/2012 10:11:27 PM
Damn, Durant already has 15.
5/3/2012 10:15:41 PM
Good job by Dallas to hang in there based on how poorly they shot and how on fire Durant was in the first half. They're in bad shape, but if they can claw back into the game OKC freezes up late sometimes.
5/3/2012 10:57:40 PM
Durant is either gonna drop 50 or go 16-39]
5/3/2012 11:05:24 PM
^ He has 23 points what are you talking about?Dallas looks REALLY bad tonight but this was the type of game we were waiting on from OKC. Just when you thought the Spurs were going to crush them, OKC starts to get things together
5/3/2012 11:40:49 PM
i mean he's either going to continue doing what he was doing in the first half and score 50 points, or cool down and shoot a bunch and "only" score 35
5/3/2012 11:47:12 PM
Btw...I know he's erratic and a complete ball-hog...but I really like watching JR Smith. So glad he never went to UNC. He would have crushed it in college.
5/4/2012 11:25:29 AM
JR is the man. I was really hoping that the Clippers could have picked him up when he came back from China.
5/4/2012 12:34:15 PM
i've liked him ever since he decided not to go to UNCsame with Shaun Livingston when he decided not to go to Duke]
5/4/2012 12:37:00 PM
Noah goes out and the hawes gets hot. What a surprise.[Edited on May 4, 2012 at 10:39 PM. Reason : U]
5/4/2012 10:38:58 PM
wtf is up w/ that courtside sixers fan, acts like he's coaching or somethingweird
5/4/2012 10:43:52 PM
NO ONES EVER GONNA RACK ME THIS I VOW SO ALL I WANNA SAY IS HOW YA LIKE ME NOWthis might be my best win ever
5/4/2012 10:51:06 PM
Rondo with the trip-dub!
5/4/2012 11:30:26 PM
Andrew Bynum, this is why we can't have nice things. Nuggets fast paced high altitude gimmick paying off as scrub players are taking bynum to the basket all night. The lakers came back with Hill in the game only to have it pushed back up when Bynum came back. I'm not going to say something ridiculous like Bynum should be benched but he's obviously not in good enough shape to play in Denver.
5/4/2012 11:42:58 PM
Harrington getting hurt is huge, nuggets so much better without him. Faried should be playing 35-40 minutes he's too good to bench
5/5/2012 12:40:34 AM
Faried's rookie year > Nene's best year
5/5/2012 1:03:45 AM
There's Kobe! 6-22, 5 turnovers. 1 point in the last 19.5 minutes
5/5/2012 1:04:47 AM
Not like anybody else helped him. I can't believe faried and Mcghee outplayed the lakers frontline on both sides. I can understand the fastbreaks but they can't let those guys score inside in the halfcourt. Kobe had to have an amazing game to win tonight and he had a shitty game.
5/5/2012 1:06:49 AM
Denver pretty much ruined Kobe's life by dragging his name through the mud over some jealous bitch consentually fucking him, no surprise he's traumatized when he plays there
5/5/2012 1:08:04 AM
Actually he plays better against them than anyone else. Its all about conditioning.I thought about the face analysis during the game. He doesn't realize if the clock makes it down to five, the ball is going to kobe and he has to force a shot. the kobe of everyteam is obviously going to shoot a lower % because they are shooting at the end of the clock. You try to get it to Bynum and if you do, he gets the shot he wants and shoots a high %, if all else fails you throw it to Kobe and watch. [Edited on May 5, 2012 at 1:11 AM. Reason : degree of difficulty]shots at the end of the clock don't hurt the team. the team is already screwed up when its late in the clock and just getting a shot up is a good thing at that point. if you took those guys off of every team its not like bynum would shoot 60% if you threw him the ball at the top with 4 to shoot. [Edited on May 5, 2012 at 1:14 AM. Reason : common sense]
5/5/2012 1:09:50 AM
he plays pretty well against Toronto too, wonder if Lebron will ever score 81 lol
5/5/2012 1:12:22 AM
^^ again, the effect has been tested for and the results just aren't all that dramaticThe guys who get the ball at the end of the shot clock draw enough fouls, pass, or get a good shot often enough that it just doesn't matter that much on a few possessions per game.
5/5/2012 2:12:00 AM
man, fuck the magic. coming from 19 down to force overtime. this game just needs to end
5/5/2012 4:44:40 PM
Jameer Nelson is shit
5/5/2012 5:01:16 PM
If only they had Howard. This is the most injured playoffs ever. Shouldn't even count as a full championship.
5/5/2012 5:01:44 PM
5/5/2012 5:07:19 PM
You really think they'd have a chance with Howard? Ahit, they'd still be lucky to beat Inda even with a healthy Dwight.
5/5/2012 5:43:09 PM
Howard is the best player in the NBA. Of course he would be worth 1 point more than Big baby fucking Davis.
5/5/2012 5:51:41 PM
Nazr Mohammed's titties are extra bouncy tonight.
5/5/2012 8:22:46 PM
Howard best in the entire league? You'd have a legit beef until this year, but he's clearly cunted himself out of that discussion for the forseeable future. Its LBJ, Durant, then everyone else.
5/5/2012 9:17:42 PM
Yeah but there are no other centers quite like him and only about 10 good centers period.
5/5/2012 9:24:14 PM
True, but Christ, I just find it very hard to annoint aDude that half assed it all year as the Second Coming. I mean, at least let the guy pretend he gives a molecule of a Dick before we call him Shaq 2. Because this point, I mean, you and I have won as much as He as.
5/6/2012 12:49:05 AM
I'm sure it took a toll on his body. This season was designed to destroy the players as payback and it did. You can't count this season against him.
5/6/2012 12:59:17 AM
Howard would no doubt be one of those theoretical top-5 players picked to "start a team", due to his size, defensive ability, and youth. But I agree, he was in no way a top-5 performer in the league this year...dude looked like pure doo-doo. He def needs a change of scenery.
5/6/2012 10:02:56 AM
I used to call it Noah's ark because he lead a roster with two of everything. Its a shame what injuries can do to even one of the deepest teams in league history.
5/6/2012 12:51:46 PM
jesus, looks like harden destroyed the mavericks last night, thought mavs had that game.Kinda crazy that Tyson Chandler was the difference between the NBA title and getting swept in the first round.Wait, no that's not that crazy. He's just that good.
5/6/2012 1:40:56 PM
OKC would be better served if Harden and Westbrook switched positions.
5/6/2012 1:53:36 PM
^ yeah, harden does run the point quite a bit when he's in though.boozer just threw possibly the worst pass in nba history. Someone embed that after it hits youtube.Taj Gibson is killing the 76ers today, wonder how long it will be before thibs realizes that Taj is better than boozer.
5/6/2012 1:56:06 PM
37% FG22% 3's57% FTThat's what Philly is shooting at half and they are up 2!They are going to make me have a heart attack.Spencer Hawes is killing it 17 points on 7/8 FG with 6 rebounds.Jrue Holiday is 1-13 at half good lord.
5/6/2012 2:08:33 PM
These playoffs have been a major snoozefest so far. The NHL playoffs are much more fun to watchI bet Colin Cowherd (and tww's version of him - face) will say differently though
5/6/2012 3:47:44 PM
I'm biased because I love the NBA, but if you think these playoffs are terrible you obviously hate the NBA.It's the first round and some of the matchups aren't great but LAC-MEM, Dallas-OKC, Bos-Atl, and LAL-Den have all been great series to watch. If i hit a 100:1 odds bet Philly in 5 games, am I annoited god status? For all the shit i hear anytime i lose a bet, I think i should get about 99 free passes on this one.Not sure why you guys didn't tail the bets I wrote on page 1, everyone knows I always win big in the NBA playoffs[Edited on May 6, 2012 at 3:58 PM. Reason : a]
5/6/2012 3:58:30 PM
Another free throw rebound hits amare in the face because he has paused to put his glasses back on. Why does he wear them if he can't shoot with them on? You can't stop during a live ball to try and put your glasses back on.
5/6/2012 4:00:24 PM
^^This is an awful playoffs mainly because of injuries. The entire eastern conference playoffs are a forgone conclusion due to injuries. Two of the top 3 players in the Easter out for the entire playoffs makes it bad. Also NYK Boston ATl are all too banged up to enjoy. The west will have a great playoffs but these first round matchups are not good. The only competitive series in the entire first round features the clippers who are no longer contenders due to the Billups injury so that takes that fun out of watching knowing they can't win.
5/6/2012 4:26:56 PM
lebron just fell after being touched on the elbow
5/6/2012 4:41:25 PM
5/6/2012 4:43:39 PM
5/6/2012 4:49:07 PM
^ then you should have said one of the three most "exciting" not "best". Let's strive to be honest here. I'm not backtracking. Chandler was the (real) MVP of the NBA Finals and the guy who carried them the whole way. Without him, that team was barely .500 this year.Take Chandler off the Knicks and the team doesn't go .500. With him they were a relatively solid team, but the injury to Lin completely killed their season. Baron and Bibby can not be the starting PG for a team that is making the 2nd round. Not happening, they are finished in this league.
5/6/2012 4:56:17 PM
Turning it off now. Wade just jumped into the first row off a little bump.
5/6/2012 4:58:09 PM
