Wow. The reports are now that the little girl was shot by cops who were still outside of the duplex. A person who watched the video said there never was an altercation with the grandmother which caused the discharge. Then they lied to cover up the accident.

Who still believes that these raids provide safety to everyone involved?

Right now, the Michigan SBI is conducting an investigation as to what happened and that video will probably not leak until well after that is over.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. I'm sure internal investigations will find that the police followed procedure and this death is just another in a long line or unfortunate isolated occurrences.

These things happen. A couple dead dogs is small price to pay for us to stay safe. I mean, imagine if those people had managed to grind up some of that weed, put it in the pipe, and smoke it? The entire fabric of society would break down immediately. These fine officers are the only thing keeping us from perpetual chaos.

In all seriousness, anyone, whether it's a police officer, judge, or a legislator, that allows this drug war to continue deserves to go to jail themselves. They are the real criminals. They, as citizens, should refuse to enforce laws that are so clearly anti-freedom and unjust. No one has the right to tell you what to do with your own body. "It's the law, and we have to enforce the law, regardless of what is right" is complete bullshit, and I don't buy it for one second.
