well, part of rounders was shot in the actual taj poker room

the scene where they go to ac and take down some tourists

you can go and sit in those same chairs, they havent changed them from the ugly ass purple

hell the chips are dirty enough that they probably havent washed them since they shot the scene either.

most of the tourists and conventioners now go to the borg and just the hardcore degenerates still throw away their money at the the taj

unuless you're playing 30/60 stud, then it's still a good game at the taj

depends on what level really as to where you want to go

as for the ny club scenes though, there are (were) a few of those around raleigh too, but ive never been to some of the nyc ones... although there are twwers who have been to the chesterfield iirc

last night we had a group of 14 and went to the super nice sushi place down the street, drank at the bar next door for a while, then we had a 40s only party afterwards:

Later in the night, as everyone got progressively ripped, this picture was taken about an hour prior to me and this girl getting into a huge argument, which resulted in me getting someone to drive me home at 330am. I had a 45 minute walk to go get my car this morning





I've got to get things ready for tailgating the phillies game tomorrow morning, finish off this batch of beer and get it into the fermenter, and then going down to the riverfront to sit on the patio and have a late dinner/drinks outside b/c it's just really nice today.

have done it before... well twice really.

once lasted for like 2 years, started back for a litle bit, then the most recent quitting has lasted for about a year.


pretty sure this one will stick.


the last time i used a 4 week trip to china for work to be the last straw in completely stopping.

however by that point it was already down to like, 1 after work, maybe 1 before bed and that's about it.. so it wasn't really about physical addiction at that point, but more mental.


there have been much harder things i've quit, and other things i cannot.
