The granola bars are EASY to make and very good. I haven't made the Protein Bars or the Brown Rice Crispy Bars yet but I will shortly.

I am debating what I should cook for dinner tonight. I have a shitload to do today cleaning the apartment so I don't really have time for cooking. Any suggestions on a quick meal from scratch?

^^^ no way in shit I'm making mac and cheese from scratch. That is NOT easy.

Ummm, I have lots of pasta, some chicken stock in the freezer, a couple cans cream of mushroom soup, some carrots, I think some chicken.

I have to stop at the supermarket on the way home from work anyway so picking up some stuff is no issue as long as it's stocked in a Japanese supermarket

^ Mmm, chicken salad sounds pretty good.

ehehe, mac and cheese is ridiculously easy

Umm...theres tons you can do with that. i dont really know where to begin

since you chicken stock..i'd suggest a soup. It takes 15 minutes of prep and to get it started, then walk away for an hour

Yeah, soup is super easy. I was also thinking nabe but we had that the other day and I doubt David wants to eat that twice in one week. If they didn't have such shitastic cheese at the supermarket I would just do fondue.

from scratch

make pasta (im not gonna explain this)
bring a pot of milk with half an onion to a simmer...simmer 5-10 min
Make a white roux...add to milk, and bring to a boil
once it thickens, reduce heat back to a simmer and add whatever cheese you want (grated)
Stir until melted and combined
Season with salt and pepper
add cooked pasta to it
eat

You can get a lot more fancy, but thats a basic mac and cheese that actually tastes good and takes about 20 min to make

cook the pasta (might not even have to all the way)

put pasta, chicken(I'm assuming raw?), and then cover in cream of muschroom soup in an oven safe dish

bake at 350 for like 35 mins

Yeah, but to do that I'd have to go 30 minutes south on the train, walk 45 minutes to the supermarket that sells real cheese, then repeat in reverse I might make this Friday though since I will be working near the good supermarket. It sounds better than the mac and cheese recipe I use.
