I've been wanting to do this for a while. This is something me and Jeepin4x4 would do every now and then, figure I'd make it more widespread.

basically, anytime you try a new "special" burger/sandwich/whatever from a fast food joint post it on here and what you thought about it


I just had the Bacon Double Cheeseburger Melt from Burger King and thought it was a lot smaller and less sloppy than advertised. I cant decide if I liked the sauce on it or not, and the bread wasnt toasted as well as it shouldve been. Other than that it was a tasty burger so it gets a 3.5/5 and a "would try again" rating

examples:

the Hawaiian Chicken Burger from Hardees

the Southern Style Chicken Sandwich from McDs

whatever specials Wendys and Taco Bell have going on

I can't remember the name of the burger but there is a Hawaiian burger at Red Robin that I quite enjoyed. Red Robin and Village Draft House have a good selection.

the philly cheese steak burger is back at hardee's i think. iirc it was decent

the chili cheese nachos bel grande were ok, for toxic hell 1hr later assplotion fast food.


other than that, i've more or less tried to cut out all that BS, unless in a crucial bind.

The McDonald's Southern Style Chicken Sandwich is the exact same thing as you get at Chic-Fil-A.

Tough call if waffle fries are better than McDonald's shoestring fries, but McDonald's is closer.

just had the 1/2lb. Jalepeno Bacon Melt from Wendys. It was pretty tasty.

pepper jack, cheedar, jalepenos, and bacon.

The best burger I ever had was at this joint in Montana called the "Box Car Burger". I'm not sure if that's a chain out there, but it's in a town called Red Lodge. It's the best damn burger I've ever tasted.

I'd say you need to order some Hungry Howies. It's cheaper than most other pizza places, the food is better than most pizza places (they have all sorts of dressings, customizable crust flavors, etc) and they give you more food for your buck.

Best burger I ever had was at this hole in the wall restaurant off the strip in las vegas called the "wild wild west". I think we almost got shot in there for pissing off the locals and then almost arrested for pissing off the cops... but it was worth it
