this was on dateline or some such shit the other night while I was at the gym but I would only read the captioning. Apparently the america's most wanted kind of show over there hired the man who got the confession out of him, payed him 35,000 and gave him a nice range rover filled with hidden cameras. The guy looked like a thug and had met the van der sloot kid months earlier at a bar, initiating the conversation with "Hey murderer" in some dialect that the two both spoke or something. Van der Sloot then came up to the guy later and struck up a conversation with him. They became friends and the dude kept telling van der sloot he didnt want to know about the case just to lead him on or somehting. The guy was in prison before and asked van der sloot to join him in a pot dealing ring or some shit so the kid kind of looked to him as an underground mentor. After he got the confession out of him he went back to the dude at the show which broadcasted it the night of the super bowl. That's all I caught. The kid said something like; "If they ever find her body i'll be fucked."

i went to aruba last year, i was there during this whole fiasco, i believe her father was there scuba diving in the waters trying to look for her. (i so wanted to play a joke on him).

but during the vacation, we (me and my cousin) took a wrong bus, and it led us into town, im talkin the real aruba, this place looked worse than the ghetto. well, probably the same. there is so much land on that little island that she could be anywhere. but then again its such a small island that im sure they have combed the whole place.

it was just a surprise to see the place and made you think that she could be in any one of those little huts or whatever.

but overall, people hate on aruba because of what happened. thats not the case.

well they had to assume something like that happened. They've known for the 2.5 years that she was out partying with those guys the night she disappeared. They'd be naive to assume something along those lines did not take place.

Hell my first two assumptions from day 1 when this case broke were 1. she was kidnapped for one of those third world prostitution rings, or 2. she was drugged, raped, and dumped.


it seems 2 is now surfacing.



but to digress....they'd be stupid not to assume something sexual happened. and knowing that this happened is much much easier to deal with than never knowing anything. having someone vanish without any trace and then having to live the rest of your life without ever knowing is probably one of the hardest things to ever deal with.

^that says they didn't notice the body at the time of their dive but then after reviewing pictures it looks like they got a great shot of a skeleton....

I mean I'm pretty sure they would have noticed a damn skeleton while they were doing a dive...especially if they pointed their camera right at it. They simply just got a picture of some rocks that just happened to look somewhat like a skull
