The cgi was just god awful. They would have been better off using real chimpmunks. I'd recommend "I am Legend" instead.

I've resolved myself to NOT see Alvin for a few reasons (i hated them as a kid), but the number one reason is the first preview i saw was them being thugged out.

You know it is bad when you are told to see I Am Legend because the CGI in a different movie is bad.
