how much comprising do you do in your relationships?

a lot cause you want to keep them around or not much at all cause you dont want to change who you are for someone else?


just curious how others typically go about the roles of giving & taking in their relationships

Pretty much spot on. Sometimes you get lucky with a significant other and they will help you make some changes that you may need because they care about you.

And other times people could use you.

I would say that if you are comprising on your time spent with someone then it is probably going too far.

But if you are talking about giving up drinking, smoking, or something like being a slob, then it may be best to just man up and make the change.

somewhat... up until you're at that point where you both have an understanding...

i compromised too much in my last relationship, and ultimately I had no choice but to stop, address it, and move on.

ultimately it depends. Love isn't a compromise, though... nor should it be.
