4/5/2008 9:39:09 PM
^yeh, i can see me trying to wash my car next week & getting bitched out for it
4/5/2008 9:41:59 PM
^ just put it out in the rain and you won't have to worry about washing it.
4/5/2008 9:42:30 PM
my neighbor already told me it was "against the law to wash my car" last wednesday
4/5/2008 9:43:16 PM
CE 383 ftw
4/5/2008 9:43:56 PM
It doesn't hurt to conserve given the fact that our summers are a bitch. Heck...just having mandatory odd even schedules in the summer would be fine with me. You don't need to water your grass, power wash your sidewalk, and wash your car every day.
4/5/2008 10:03:16 PM
we get our irrigation from a "retention" basin / well pondwe win
4/5/2008 10:08:20 PM
^^ you do know that summer is the rainiest season in North Carolina, right?
4/5/2008 10:09:22 PM
^ falls lake was full last year at the beginning of summer too. this drought has been 6 years in the making, 1 week of rain does not mean its over.
4/5/2008 10:11:43 PM
4/5/2008 10:16:00 PM
i hope they keep the restrictions

4/5/2008 10:19:45 PM
yes, really. Look it up.
4/5/2008 10:20:44 PM
on average it is, but it is not a guarantee that every year it will be rainy in the summer. like last year.
4/5/2008 10:21:58 PM
April is the driest month of the year for Raleigh, but it has fucking rained every day of this month so far. Averages don't mean but so much. Always good to be conservative with water...especially in the summer.

4/5/2008 10:30:02 PM
Yay! Can I finally flush the toilet? On a serious note, we decreased our daily usage of water this month by 50 gallons/day and my water bill only went down $2. [Edited on April 5, 2008 at 10:31 PM. Reason : the city of raleigh = stupid]

That is NC climate you fucking twat. I specifically said Raleigh. Look up Raleigh rain averages...and you'll see April is the driest month. As for FykalJpn's pic...that is for less than 5 years...not 6 years. I don't know if the 6 year figure is right, but your picture is for just under 5 years.
4/5/2008 10:33:28 PM
omfg, really?

4/5/2008 10:41:10 PM
LET'S START WATERING OUR LAWNS ALL DAY NOW MMKAY?
4/5/2008 10:43:41 PM
^^ not really
4/5/2008 10:46:45 PM
We are not out of a draught we are still more than 6" behind the typical rainfall since January of last year. The lake that supplies our city with water is at its now at it's typical capacity though. Take it for what you will, but the city of Raleigh did say it would start easing restrictions when capacity was above 90%.
4/5/2008 11:00:55 PM
13 inches of rain is a lot, thats like 1/3 of an average year. at least in my city.
4/5/2008 11:12:46 PM
maybe you should move to burlington?
4/5/2008 11:15:06 PM
i dont have any water issues here, i just thought that was a lot
