from my understanding, the fundamentalist idea of Zion is the new Jerusalem, not the state of Israel. most Americans are painfully ignorant of foreign affairs, fundamentalists are no different (probably more so). I'm sure they want to see Israel in the hands of Jews and Christians, but I doubt that they are actively supporting such efforts.

Someone was telling me at some point of time what these spiritual marriages are.

When a girl starts puberty (she starts her period, and I don't know if they wait until she's off of it, or do it when she is still on it) they take her to a bed in the backmost deepest room in the temple and have all the "leaders" of the church watch has her spiritual husband has sex with her. The bed from what I understood never has the sheets washed, and they are covered in blood, sweat, and tears (good band) and also semen stains.

Mind you, think about when girls start their periods, some start them as young at 10 or 11 and maybe even younger. I don't care what church you belong to, or where in the world you live. A girl that is 10 years old is not old enough to comprehend the mentality of sex.
