Got my official job offer today from UNC-CH.

Figures that I'd spent 7 years at NCSU and then move straight over to UNC-CH.

At least the people I'll be working with are awesome.

They only act like we aren't rivals when NCSU wins against them in sports. Yet when UNC wins, my UNC friends sure as hell act like we are rivals.

at least theyd be paying me. the assistant manager graduated from state though so we could hate together

i like the department i'll be working in. friendly people, lots of interesting science being made. not exactly in my field, but related and i can pick it up pretty quick.

if only they hadn't ripped up the parking lot next to our building.

i've opted to ride the bus. they didn't give me parking "names" but pretty much said i might as well catch the bus rather than pay $texas for a permit where i still have to walk across campus .

i got so lost trying to get from the stadium to my building. thought i was taking a shortcut. instead i took a lap around the entire fucking campus.

tomorrow's a 4 hour state employee orientation meeting, then i go to the lab for the rest of the day. BLAH
