Not really, but what would the social rammifications be if a study found that someone who uses wireless technology for one hour a day is as likely to develop cancer as someone who smokes 5 cigarettes a day?

Our generation would be survived by Alabamians.

Would wifi be the new taboo like cigarettes, or would society just chalk it up as an acceptable loss and keep going?Regardless I'm sure that you would have new communes that did everything via ethernet cables.I'm just pictures the new anti-wifi ad; "From you dad! I learned it from watching you!"

I think everything causes cancer. Wasn't there a study released that said Nalgene (sp) bottles cause cancer when the plastic breaks down from continuous refilling.
5/7/2008 5:56:22 PM
yes
5/7/2008 5:58:09 PM
I thought that was something about dented water bottles where the denting releases something.
5/7/2008 6:07:58 PM
i'm pretty sure that wifi DOES cause cancer, but i'm not gonna do anything about it
5/7/2008 6:09:10 PM

^x6 microwaves are pretty safe. now aim the magnetron at yourself and you'll be dead pretty quick, although not from cancer.

Cell phones are so freaking dominant now... they are going to cause cancer long before wifi does... wireless G uses pretty much the same frequency as cell phones... (2.4Ghz vs 1.8Ghz) data rate doesn't make a difference when the carrier frequency is constantly present, that and an idling wifi signal is only sent sporadically in search of users and once a user found it's line of sight communication...doplar radar from your local TV stations is most likely doing as much damage as wifi...
