They're fun. I recently became addicted to taking them.Show me yours.I'll show you some of mine.

I don't have any, but yours are really pretty.
6/6/2008 3:58:35 PM

6/6/2008 3:59:44 PM
My cousin has a few good ones he's done down at Cape Lookout and the Beaufort area.
6/6/2008 4:00:18 PM
where were the last ones taken? portugal?
6/6/2008 4:06:32 PM
The northern coast of Northern Ireland, except for the very last one, which was taken from the gravity bar at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin. I should have some more fun ones as I get around to uploading more pictures from my trip to Europe. The Alps especially.
6/6/2008 4:08:08 PM
Very nice work. What'd you use to do the stitching? Here's one I took from the top of Hanging Rock a while back. I used autostitch.[Edited on June 6, 2008 at 4:10 PM. Reason : 500th post!]
6/6/2008 4:09:38 PM
Awesome. I used autostitch for most of mine, but the more recent ones were done in Photoshop mainly because it retains the EXIF data whereas Autostitch doesn't. If PS can't handle it I throw it into AS.

I have a few of the Twin Towers taken in August of '01. But they were taken with a regular Kodak advantix camera It was very weird getting them developed a month later at Eckerd's in Cameron Village.[Edited on June 6, 2008 at 4:55 PM. Reason : p]
6/6/2008 4:55:00 PM
My camera has a photostitch setting, but I can't get them together once I upload them. Believe me, out here in MT, there are so many pictures that would have been even better in panoramic view.
6/6/2008 4:56:27 PM
Those are fantastic Jvp. Where is the snow one from?
6/6/2008 8:25:21 PM
Thanks, Breckenridge Colorado
6/7/2008 7:51:04 AM
some of those are pretty good, but a good number of them aren't exposed properly
6/7/2008 7:59:34 AM
Just curious to which ones? I photoshopped most of them heavily, and I admit I am a novice at photoshop as you can tell
6/7/2008 8:05:46 AM
jvp, wasn't really replying to yours, but the last two of yours seem a bit under exposed with the last one having too much contrast. I really like the composition of the last one.
6/7/2008 8:33:33 AM

6/7/2008 8:35:28 AM
Trying to borrow a camera from someone so I can attempt a few of these on my vacation.

6/10/2008 10:05:22 AM
So you take several pics then stitch them together?
6/10/2008 10:12:34 AM
I think that's what people are doing in this thread.I mean, panoramic hardware is expensive as fuck.
6/10/2008 11:20:58 AM
Salzburg is so awesome
6/10/2008 11:33:14 AM
i'll upload some higher res one's tonight.
6/10/2008 11:53:14 AM
^3, ^4 Yeah. All mine were taken with a P&S and put together using Photoshop.
6/10/2008 11:55:09 AM
I use PTGUI for all of my stitching.
6/14/2008 8:50:32 AM
^ in photoshop use the ruler tool and draw a line on top of the horizon line, and then go to image>rotate canvas> arbitrary, and it will re-level your images. this is a common problem with wide stitched photos that is easily fixed.

I don't think there really is such thing as a correct aspect ratio for panoramas. That one is pretty sweet.
