I didn't even know there was a place like that around here until I saw them taking a tour around from my office. I guess I just always wanted to ride one - the best parts were the couple of times they just let us play around on them before the actual tour started and then once in the oakwood cemetery.

6/7/2008 4:45:09 PM
you get to ride a $4000+ segway for 2hrsthat's alone is definitely worth it[Edited on June 7, 2008 at 4:48 PM. Reason : asdfghjk]

the tour I went on was 2.5 hours, maybe a few minutes more because we started earlyalso I think they have like a 45 minute version for cheaper[Edited on June 7, 2008 at 4:48 PM. Reason : ^but yeah, I went to ride the thing, not for the tour really]

i had no idea they did toursi just thought it was a segway dealership in city market
6/7/2008 4:50:03 PM
Yeah I got the impression they don't really sell that many - that they try to make most of their money off the tours, but I dunno. All the segways in there pretty much got used for the tour, so they'd have to order you one if you did buy one.

$55 to ride one of those for 2+ hours and get a tour of downtown doesn't seem that bad
6/7/2008 5:19:28 PM
yea i think that sounds pretty cool
6/7/2008 5:34:41 PM

no wonder everyone is fat. we have to rely on technology so we don't have to exert any energy.

Do those things have A/C?
6/8/2008 12:15:20 PM
nah, it was definitely hot yesterday
6/8/2008 12:18:05 PM
I think I miht do this when I move to raleigh.
6/8/2008 12:25:16 PM
Id do it. But I think I'd get bored after an hour or so. Ima opt for the 45 min tour.plus it's too damn hot to be outside for 2.5 hours.

raleigh, not so much. However the DC tours are amazing (do it @ night for the best time)Someone needs to step up and embed "White N Nerdy - Weird Al"[Edited on June 8, 2008 at 1:15 PM. Reason : a]

Yeah I've tried a couple of times to do it in DC. I think once they were booked and the other time the good ones were booked and the bad ones were like $75 / hr. or something. I guess if you're going to do that set it up ahead of time.
