6/12/2008 3:34:26 PM
^ see THAT is funnyand some apt commentary
6/12/2008 3:35:26 PM
did you move to a large city, snewf?and to the person who commented abpit drinking gas.. this thread reminded me of something i heard on the radio yesterday.APPARANTLY (as i didn't see it).... people in Utah are paying over 5 bucks a gallon to fill up, and have been. but they're using a natural gas product, and they're supposedly getting up to 90 miles per gallon. i heard some people are even homebrewing it.like i said, no idea what the process is.. or what you have to modify on your car. hell, maybe nothing. i've had people tell me that some of the european cousins of our higher end cars get 50+mpg in europethanks, way off topic, im gonna go read about that and see how real it is
6/12/2008 3:39:27 PM
^the part about stuff in Utah I think is a bunch of BS. There's more truth to the cars in Europe. Most cars over there have serveral more engine options, including diesel engines. Some of these diesels can top 50mpg.
6/12/2008 3:52:20 PM
well we should be following brazil anyways
6/12/2008 3:57:24 PM
we don't have suitable land for sugar cane.
6/12/2008 3:58:25 PM
sucks for us!
6/12/2008 3:59:28 PM
We would if we drained the everglades. Not saying we should, just saying we COULD
6/12/2008 3:59:30 PM
I've got 2 words for you. COAL GASIFICATION. Process of turning coal into gasoline and other fuels. We've got 35% of the world's coal supply. Do the math.
6/12/2008 4:00:49 PM
Have you seen the european cars that get 50+ MPH? Smart cars?FUCK THAT
6/12/2008 4:05:05 PM
The smart car in the US doesn't even get more than 45mpg. I was NOT talking about that car. Its called DIESEL cars. New Accord diesel coming to the US will get around 50mpg. Of course, with diesel prices skyrocketing, i'm not seeing a great future here for diesels.
6/12/2008 4:06:38 PM
people drive them on the highway here in DC/NoVAive seen atleast 3 on interstates in the past month
6/12/2008 4:06:53 PM
the new diesel jetta gets ~60 mpg iirc
6/12/2008 4:07:37 PM
and the smart car is the safest out of any of those high mpg cars
6/12/2008 4:12:30 PM
^. watch some crash videos, they are insane. oh and some poeple trick them out with bike engines and do 'stoppies'.
6/12/2008 4:19:11 PM
6/12/2008 4:20:00 PM
apart from the car accidents what does this have to do with the price of beer?
6/12/2008 4:20:27 PM
you made the choice to move to NYC, knowing that shit costs more.so why are you whining about it now?
6/12/2008 4:34:56 PM
6/12/2008 4:41:21 PM
