they are proud of me, but not because of my status or how much money I make.

they are more proud of me for the hardships I have been through the past 5 years and how I have bounced back from them.

pretty much...add this to the fact that i've grown as a person and yeah, i'd say they are pretty darn proud of me (or so they tell me on a pretty regular basis)
