You are better off shaving it short before you go bald. Then it gets a little sun, and you don't look like a scary mofo with no hair and a pasty white head.

Tanning without burning when the skin is so light is hard and takes a while. Better to have a little hair to cover up the obvious whiteness and give you time to expand your baseball cap collection. Also get used to putting sunscreen up there. Asking your GF to put aloe on your head does get old, trust me. :p

Also, spend the money on a pro quality clipper set. Trust me on this one, Oster makes a nice set you can get online for $60 or so. Can link to them if needed.

buzz it first to about 1/4 inch then get out in the sun as much as possible, then shave it.
It will look more natural that way.
