That exact same thing happened to me my last semester. It was canceled less than a day before classes were supposed to start, and I ended up getting stuck with a night class that made me unable to participate in a bowling league I had planned

two Ls is the British spelling (e.g. cancelled, cancelling), so it is technically correct, just not common in the US

This happened to me during the current summer session. I just talked to the department head about doing an independent study to make up for it. I just write a paper due every monday. not too hard at all.

I of the girls I graduated with had one of her classes canceled that she needed for graduation. She couldn't take any of the other possible classes because the class was either not offered that semester or it conflicted with another class she had to have to graduate.

Since it wasn't something that wasn't a major requirement, our advisor took another class that she had already taken as a general elective and used it to fulfill that requirement.
