I graduated from UCLA in 2005 and ran in it that June. It was pretty insane and there were only a couple cops. They girl:guy ratio was easily 2:1. I have a friend who ran it this year and she said the cops were out in riot gear. Also, all of the dudes in LA have found out about it and crowd the streets (hence more cops). It was pretty damn awesome.
