I actually prefer to roast my corn. Just set it in the oven husk and all at 350 for about 30-40 minutes. It gives it a sweeter flavor in my opinion and a good crunch too
7/24/2008 4:01:17 PM
7/24/2008 4:02:06 PM
Yeah- Grilling or Boiling are the two ways I know.
7/24/2008 4:02:17 PM

Slice it off the cob of 8 ears.Put 2 TBSP of butter or margarine in a saucepan.melt said margarine over low heat.add one cup water.add eight ears of corn kernels.bring to simmer over medium heat.cover.cook until texture you prefer.

can we please get back to what's really important in this thread....
7/24/2008 4:10:23 PM
I'm pretty sure that the general rule as to when boiling is complete is when the food floats.
7/24/2008 4:10:54 PM
you just have to boil corn until it's warmanywhere from two to five minutes should do it, depending on how many cobs you stick into one pot[Edited on July 24, 2008 at 4:12 PM. Reason : salt the water if you feel like it, too]
7/24/2008 4:11:30 PM

If you live in the country where you can burn outside, make yourself a nice fire, take the corn and smother it with some butter, salt, and pepper then wrap it up in foil a few layers thick, toss in fire for a few minutes, remove with some tool, enjoy! If you dont have a fire then you can do the same just throw it on a grill in the foil.
7/24/2008 4:48:50 PM
don't boil veggies, you will loose nutrients in the water steam cut corn or bake/grill ears in foil w/ 2 cubes of ice and a little butter[Edited on July 24, 2008 at 4:55 PM. Reason : ][Edited on July 24, 2008 at 4:56 PM. Reason : ]
