But few things in life give me the pleasure and satisfaction of finding someone on the internet who is horrendously wrong and then e-beating the shit out of them for days on end.My name is GrumpyGOP, and I have a problem.

I wish I could just bring up the talktolizzy threads, that was really far and away the best example.

I mean it's pretty much always going on somewhere, but I recently read a pretty scathing comment directed at someone else along the lines of "how can you sleep at night knowing that someone, somewhere on the internet might be wrong?"And it made me realize that this particular trait is maybe a little odd, but I really can't, because when I'm sleeping I'm not eroding the very foundation of their existence and eventually making them cry/quit whatever website I encountered them on.[Edited on July 25, 2008 at 3:58 AM. Reason : well yeah, wethebest is the latest example on this site, but it's on ongoing trauma really]

I suppose I'm guilty of this, but I've learned to let it slide. You can't go around policing stupidity, it's unfortunately the grandest of exercises in futility. Just take a deep breath and click "back" on your browser when you've scratched that itch to "Reply to Topic"
