You don't know the difference between singular and plural words.I saw this shit on a car the other day. I laughed. But maybe they have multiple personalities.[Edited on July 27, 2008 at 4:34 PM. Reason : and sadly it seems they have shit like this for every school]
7/27/2008 4:34:18 PM
maybe husband & wife and/or kids?
7/27/2008 4:35:52 PM
they dont sell things that say "Alumnus" or "Alumna"[Edited on July 27, 2008 at 4:37 PM. Reason : this is just a general observation i've made.]
7/27/2008 4:36:44 PM
...it's worthless if it has the word "Studies" in it.
7/27/2008 4:37:16 PM
My NC State degree has proven equivalent in worth to a stool sample thus far in my careerBachelor's Degree today = High Diploma 15 years ago
7/27/2008 4:37:26 PM
Yeah that bugs me whenever I see things like that that say alumni on them.
7/27/2008 4:37:37 PM
and Virgnia State University, Penn State, etc.they're fucking commonwealths.
7/27/2008 4:38:46 PM
Alumni is the masculine plural, so it wouldn't be a husband and wife. . .But really, they don't sell plates for Alumnus and Alumna.

7/27/2008 4:45:04 PM
who give an F ?I'm jealous of people with UNC degreesand I'm sure most of the rest of you are as well, whether you'd ever admit it or not
7/27/2008 4:45:16 PM
nah, i have a good paying job. and i kept my anal virginity.
7/27/2008 4:45:43 PM
I'm happy with my degree from NCSU. I wouldn't change a thing.
7/27/2008 4:46:27 PM
I'm only jealous of people in business. That's what I should have gone into anyways.
7/27/2008 4:46:44 PM
it ALWAYS better to have ANY degree than to NOT have one at all
7/27/2008 4:47:25 PM
you say that nowbut when you were 18given the choice, the vast majority would choose light blue over red (engineers aside)
7/27/2008 4:47:35 PM
Slave must have some BS degree in something Humanities related....it is worthless before you even step foot in your first class. My degree helped me start about 10k above others.[Edited on July 27, 2008 at 4:51 PM. Reason : w]
7/27/2008 4:47:57 PM
^^ expert troll
7/27/2008 4:49:40 PM
I applied to NCSU for early admissions and it was the only school that I applied to. I didn't major in engineering and I was in the top of my class so I could have gotten in anywhere.
7/27/2008 4:49:55 PM
Didn't Slave go to ECU?
7/27/2008 4:50:31 PM
Communications FTLI don't regret it, since I had an easy ride throughout and ended up doing what I wanted to do all along after schoolStill would rather have spent those 3 years 20 miles to the west[Edited on July 27, 2008 at 4:51 PM. Reason : Freshman year at ECU, then transfered to State][Edited on July 27, 2008 at 4:51 PM. Reason : x]

Harder to move up if you just you refuse to leave Raleigh or NC.
7/27/2008 4:54:03 PM
I don't refuse to leave, I just really like living in Charlotte right now
7/27/2008 4:55:16 PM
^^^ I like UNC on weekends for the bars and hot ladies and such, but the general attitude of that place would just get on my nerves at some point.[Edited on July 27, 2008 at 4:56 PM. Reason : .][Edited on July 27, 2008 at 4:56 PM. Reason : .]

Well, I'm kind of a metero snobbish asshole myself, so I think it would've been a good fit
7/27/2008 4:57:14 PM
My parents would have disowned me if I ever thought of going to UNC. Luckily, NCSU had all the areas I was interested in. I only applied to State.
7/27/2008 4:59:35 PM
haha I am too, but i couldn't go to a school full of them.

maybe some people out of HS would have rather gone to UNC, but there are a lot of people, including myself who never gave it a thought...I never wanted to go there nor am I fucking jealous of people with a Carolina degree
7/27/2008 5:37:31 PM
it just means they're part of a group called "UNC Alumni" you dumb fucks
7/27/2008 5:38:28 PM
state had the courses/degrees i wantedand then i end up working at uncthey tell me that as long as i'm not from duke, i'm welcome on campus
7/27/2008 5:38:54 PM
you know your degree is worthless when...you have to think about itas far as unc or state. i applied to both and had zero pressure from my parents to attend either. they didn't give a shit where i went, as long as i was doing what i wanted. i applied to 7 schools and got into 5, unc wasn't one of them. state worked out fabulously and i admit that if i got into unc i would have gone. i also didnt know what i wanted to study when i applied.
7/27/2008 5:50:05 PM
NCSU was the only school I applied to
7/27/2008 5:50:46 PM
as far as jobs go. i interviewed with one company for one job. i knew what i wanted and knew i'd get the job.

this takes me back to my 3 years of Latin study in HS... I still don't know shit in latin and my engrish is still bad... I just blame the Asian in me.
7/27/2008 6:20:07 PM
3 years removed. And if you were smart, you would know that it doesn't matter what college you went to, but what you put into it.I had a kick-ass GPA, good LSAT scores, and a good application, so while I'm graduating law school with hardly any debt, my fellow UNC and Wake Forest classmates are racking up 120K in debt (both schools I got into).Engineering aside, I've got plenty of friends who "coasted" at UNC and are trying to move there way up from 28K a year jobs at local banks just the way business grads from State are. But my business classmates at State who worked their asses off, got good internships, and filled up their resume while in school are doing quite alright. If you want to be a journalist...go to UNC. If you want to be an engineer...go to State. If you want to do anything in between (obvious exceptions of course)...pick the school you want to go to and make the most out of it.
7/27/2008 6:20:47 PM
It doesn't matter what college you go toOr what you put into itand especially not what your gpa wasThe only thing that matters is what you're good atPeople who never set foot on a college campus are millionaires before they turn 25The way I see it, I'm 4 years behind those guysBut my point remains...the average 18 year old in this state is going to prefer UNC ove NCSU, all things consideredand people who deny that just because they don't like UNC personally are just kidding themselves[Edited on July 27, 2008 at 6:27 PM. Reason : higher learning is different obviously...lawyers, doctors, scientists, etc...school matters there]

I'm insecure about almost everything in my life, and that might be why I feel that wayI'm not the kind of person who would hang my degree on the wall no matter where it was fromBut I'd at least entertain the thought
