the other day there was a fire in the tunnel on the E and we got held for a long time with no AC in my car

that was hellish

down there in the heat with the smoke and the dark


then day before yesterday the L train to B'klyn stops at 1st Ave and makes everybody get off so they can ferry some old sick lady to the next stop alone - the mob was made restless by this... and further angered by the fact that every train thereafter was packed to the gills. The whole thing added an hour and a half to my trip
