Anybody want to go see this with me at Crossroads tonight at 11:40? My roommates are gone for a few days, and I'm debating whether or not I want to go by myself.

I've also got Gone Baby Gone and Mr. Woodcock on the DVR, should I go see Step Brothers or watch one on the DVR?

message_topic.aspx?topic=532417I like Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, so I imagine I'll think it's hilarious.

I ended up going to see the movie, I thought it was really funny. I'd probably see it again. I thought I was going to be the only person in the theater, until some young couple came in right at the end of the previews, watched about 3/4 of the movie and then left. They were laughing at the funny stuff, so I figured they enjoyed it. Oh well.

It is FUCKING Hilarious.Saw it last night a Crossroads

I laughed a lot. It was definitely funnier than the last several movies Will Ferrell has been in.What time did you see it last night? It wasn't 11:40.

The trailer makes this movie seem very unappealing. It also has a 54% on RT.

well I never listen to what internet people and critics have to say about movies. It's their own personal opinion, and most of the time, I don't agree with their opinions. If you like Will Farrel comedy, then this movie is hilarious. If you don't like Will Farrel comedy, then this movie sucks. Different types of comedy for different folks.

Usually, the previews show funny stuff, but not THE funniest parts. But not with this movie. All the hilarious parts have been previewed on the tv, and the only thing that makes it a little funnier is knowing the context. I mean, I liked it, and I laughed and I'll probably end up seeing the movie again, but I was kinda let down. Keep in mind, I am one of Will Ferrell's biggest fans and I love all his movies and SNL skits; and I am one of the biggest fans of Talladega Nights.

dear tdub...plz to tell me how to live my life. you have all the best suggestions...nothing but the best.

I loved Will Ferrell comedies until he fell into the Stiller/Sandler/Schneider trap of playing the same fucking character. Artistically, it's time for him to grow up. Plus, Talladega Nights had a commercial in the middle of the movie. Fuck that noise.

sandler was better imo. reason being is that his movies had better plot lines. i knew exactly how step brothers was going to go within 5 minutes of watching it and that bored me. it had a TON of funny ass lines which made up for some weaker areas of the movie. i give it a B-.

Dear Spontaneous: he did try to grow up - that's how we ended up with Bewitched. Let's not try that again.Thx,

i think he did a decent job with stranger than fiction, but the man definitely does not have the range of a Jim Carrey.[Edited on August 3, 2008 at 4:09 PM. Reason : rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr]
