well if her period is late and there are pregnancy concerns, then go to your doctor and get tested. the home tests are notorious for throwing up false negatives when you are indeed pregnant

I think I was reading somewhere that there is more of a chance for the stick to read negative and you actually be pregnant than for it to be a false-positive.

I've taken 2 tests, both negative.

I was nauseous and tired for one week and my boobs hurt so now my boyfriend thinks I am pregnant. I'm not scheduled for my period for another 12 days...he's just freaking out.

I got a new corset and he won't let me try it on because it might hurt "the baby."

When I was trying to get pregnant, I took multiple pregnancy tests. Sometimes multiple ones in the same day. And I remember when I got my first positive one. It had been negative the day before and didn't expect any different, then I glanced down and hell if there wasn't a faint little line showing up immediately.

A "false negative" just means that the hormone levels aren't high enough for the test to read.

My sister got one positive, and then all of them were negative for three weeks. Then she got another positive. She was actually pregnant with the first reading.
