i didn't think they had cliff jumping in Negril - i thought that was only up around Ocho Rios.

ricks is pretty badass...in addition to being able to jump off the cliff, you can watch the crazy "professional" divers jump off a tree that is about 30' above the top of the cliff.

and the kids jumping off just to the side of the property for tips is amusing as well.

Pirate's Cave is where I went. I was a diver for 14 years, so I guess I kinda know what I'm doing. But I had the BEST time jumping up there. None of the guys that we were with would go first, so I volunteered

I have injured my back pretty badly from a bad dive off a high dive (over rotated), but I can't figure out how people are breaking their backs jumping feet first. I've done probably 100+ jumps in the 30-50 ft range and never had the slightest injury as a result. It seems that you'd have to land crazy wonkey to get hurt from 33ft. into deep water.

i mean, you can hurt yourself if you go head first (i've thrown my back out NUMEROUS times) but feet first you'd be fine


oh and the snorkeling there is pretty fun too. just don't do it on a choppy day. i almost drowned myself trying that one.
