This is quite possibly the worst time for anyone to quit their job. Seriously.

Unless of course you're talking about some part-time fast food gig that you picked up to help you out while you are in school. Then I'd say, more power to ya dawg.

Driving forlifts is AWESOME...it was a skill I worked hard at and wish i still got to flex. I doubt i will ever get to drive them again unless I own one some day.

What kind of lift do you drive?

LOL...damn...yeah, I've seen some "good" fork lift fuck ups...prong marks in a brick wall is probably about the worst. They were probably about 5 feet above a 10 ft. high bay door. I was told the guy was drunk and riding with the forks way up there....even though he was drunk it makes no sense to me how you could fuck up like that.

Worst I ever did was fuck up a couple boards in front of my boss when asked to get a bundle of lumber that was high up on a stack. They were FAS boards

My dad drove a forklift for a few years, and that's why most of his teeth are fake. Always kind of turned me off on the whole thing, although I did once get a job that was going to have me do it. Too bad I got kicked out of my house the next day and had to move back home.

I took out a bay door because some simpleton (me) didn't open them all the way because it was so COLD

I used to drive the hell out of a forklift back in college. It was actually pretty fun, and it was always entertaining to surprise contractors as I brought a 10' wide load out of an 8' wide door.

I'll occasionally still hop on one at work, just to show the warehouse guys I can.

I worked at a place where everybody drove the forklifts and nobody had a license. Lots of prong shaped holes in the walls, but one time someone put a full forklift size hole in it while backing up.

haha yea i've been working there since 2006 (worked there in 06, then started back in 09 and have been working there since), and I just finally got my license about 2 months ago

^and i agree, they are really fun to drive...and yes, you'd be amazed how much stuff you can fit into a 28' pup

It's not complicated. He fucked up one day on the forklift and knocked most of his teeth out. Other than occasionally electrocuting himself, I'm pretty sure it's the only work-related accident he's ever had.

Actually now that I think about it, it's a wonder that my dad survived building a house.

There are some days lately that I've come home feeling pretty dejected about work matters. Being a staff member surrounded by ungrateful faculty is a strain on my sense of fair play and professionalism.
