i've never had a PB & Banana sandwich before, which makes my craving even stranger

but i've committed to this sandwich for dinner tonight, so i shall advise TWW as to it's deliciousness

yeah, the syrup sounds iffy, but pb+banana+waffle sounds sorta yummy.

my thought was, the peanut butter won't be sweet enough and i'll need something "extra" so just a tad bit of syrup should do the trick.

yeah i don't know why i never thought to make funky sandwiches out of waffles before

of course now that my stomach doesn't tolerate bread is when i start getting the cravings for waffles

my husband just informed me that i'm not buying frozen waffles, i'm going to buy a waffle iron. is this important, or will it be just as disgustingly good with frozen waffles?

eh, fresh waffles are so much yummier than frozen ones. but i wouldn't buy a waffle iron just for it. i'd go to ihop/waffle house and get a plain waffle or two to go.

(unless he's gonna pay for the waffle iron, haha. )

this sounds like a non-shitty version of a McGriddle. Unless you use frozen waffles, in which case it will taste like the standard nasty tasting McGriddle.

Spontaneous and I really dig the waffle iron. We used it for a lot of stuff besides regular waffles including french toast (dip the bread in the egg, touch of vanilla), and egg sandwiches (egg straight into the iron). One time he tried to cook a hamburger on it, it didn't end well.

This thread reminds me of:

We take eighteen ounces of sizzling ground beef, and soak it in rich,
creamery butter, then we top it off with bacon, ham, and a fried egg.
We call it the Good Morning Burger.

ok, i gotta say...i'm really proud of my accomplishment here today that waffle iron was a good investment, i don't think this would have been as good with the frozen waffles.

my sandwich: a peanut butter and banana waffle sandwich with syrup

his sandwich (all his doing): a peanut butter and bacon waffle sandwich with a ham steak he'd have wrapped the whole thing in bacon, but we ran out.

Correction: I would have wrapped the whole thing in bacon, battered it with more waffle batter, and deep fried it. But I ran out of bacon.

Yup! Well, Hungry Jack made the mix, but I added the water!

OK seriously, that's not nice. I've been losing weight for 6 months, I'm down 30lbs, and I had a craving that for once I actually let myself indulge in. So fuck you! It was tasty.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that. I bought bananas, waffle mix, syrup, peanut butter, and a pregnancy test at the store.

The sandwich was fabulous, and I'm:

If I had added pickles to my sandwich, I would definitely be worried that I was preggers.

when we had like 4 feet of snow up here, i was bored as hell at work and made peanut butter/hershey bar/banana/marshmallow tamales chimichangas.

just wrap the things you'd normally put in a banana split except for teh ice cream in a tortilla and then deep fry it. if i could figure out a way to fry it with the ice cream in it, i would.

Peanut Butter and Banana make a wonderful sandwich (or milkshake, or snack on a crispbread/cracker/whatnot) so I approve of adding waffles to the mix. However, the second one--peanut butter and bacon? And ham steak? No thanks.
