Once you get one, I'll give you a humidifier, and they can duke it out
5/24/2009 3:45:48 PM
neighbors toilet overflowed
5/24/2009 5:08:27 PM
you need more than a de-humidifier
5/24/2009 5:09:45 PM
move somewhere else.do not take your computer with you.

when my toilet upstairs blew up and soaked through to the downstairs carpet while i was asleep, it took a humidifier the size of a fridge, and 3 huge fans about 72 hours to clean up. that was before i had to go back and dust the whole houseif you think youre getting out of this cheap, youre wrong

^^kinda have one...sucked up about a litre of water...used about 15 towels and 2 fans for the rest[Edited on May 26, 2009 at 1:50 AM. Reason : it was like under the carpet]
5/26/2009 1:49:30 AM
sounds like you need a shop vac
5/26/2009 2:54:29 AM
got one of those too
5/26/2009 2:55:01 AM
that and a blow dryer should do the trick. Its so humid here anyway i doubt anything short of an industrial strength dehumidifier would do much good anyway
5/26/2009 3:02:57 AM
right now my plan is to wait on maintenance tomorrow, since thats the first day they are back since it happened. i've had a box fan on the area for like 3 days straight now, its still a little damp. if they don't come i'll see if i can borrow the dehumidifier from work. i can def smell an odor coming from this.[Edited on May 26, 2009 at 3:08 AM. Reason : not that bad of an odor but its definitely from the dampness]
5/26/2009 3:07:30 AM
Cover the wet surface with rice for a day or two
5/26/2009 5:32:19 AM
that works?
5/26/2009 5:36:06 AM
Don't see why it wouldn't help.and if that doesn't help try....[Edited on May 26, 2009 at 5:48 AM. Reason : lol]
